Until someone figures out how to map the controls for a Call of Duty game to use with the Kinect, I'll stick to my controller. KTHXBAI!

no offense to wow players but wow needs to die, i dont care if there is a wow 2 but the origional wow has gone on for far too long and needs to die.
I'm guessing you don't know that much about it do you >.>
I know probably as much as you, I used to be a wow player and I'm just stating my opinion, I think it has gone on for far too long, and that they need to make a new game.
You haven't stated any opinion, since "it has gone on far too long" is not a valid argument.
I'm sorry but you are making yourself look like an idiot, it is a valid argument and if anybody could read I clearly stated I meant no offense, I said what I wanted to say so drop it please. I'm not in a mood for arguing. If I was I would say "LOLOL WOW GAMES SUCK!" but I did not so thank you and goodbye.
I lol'd.

"It has gone on for too long" is a valid argument?

I think you need to look up what valid means, because I don't think it means what you think it means.
You people are really pissing me off, I said I dont want to argue about it and I have good reason. I dont want to explain my argument because it could go on for hours and I would really rather not. I dont have time for it and on top of that it would completely throw the thread off the main subject. I'm never going to post in another thread that involves wow again, so leave me alone and i will leave you alone, I dont care if i look like a moron, just stop, please do not quote this message or anything like that, thank you and good bye.
Or, you know, you could actually respect people and provide an actual valid argument instead of telling them they look like idiots trying to have a conversation with you. There is a reason you were put on probation after all.

Just sayin.

So I have ~31 active keybinds. Are there enough ways for the Kinect to mimic those?
Possibly but in my head it'd eventually become a complex set of motions, that i would love to watch someone on youtube try.

But back to topic, seems like a fun idea, and healers who use heal bot is something i would like to see a video of.

While I was speaking with a tech support rep from Microsoft in regards to some problems I was having with my X-Box (post-Red-Ring-Of-Death difficulties), I actually spoke with him about the Kinect. Naturally, I told him what Yahtzee said about what would happen if a wasp gets in the room (bonus points if you know what I'm referring to), and I said that something just as bad would happen if you could play an MMO with the Kinect. You would take a sip of a drink in real life, but the motion to do so ends up making you take a potion in the game when you don't want to.

Seeing this, I had to laugh because it reminded me of that conversation. However, if they can figure out a way to implement the system so it works well with the game without the aforementioned miscues in regards to the potions (for example), I could see people wanting to use it. Would certainly take "role-playing" to a new level in regards to games.

Ewww, think of the targeting for just healing. ~25 targets in a 25 man and switching between them.

I used to be a WoW player myself and I would agree with you, but, you see, as long as people like it and keep playing it and I mean all 10 million of them, then it will go as long as they $$$ee fit, but not everything in life is WoW, there are other MMOs with great quality as The Lord of The Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online (I love them both). I can guarantee it won't die in the next 5 years or more, they already said (or rumored?) that there are still like 2 more expansions to go, if not more.

My lord, it seems you are flailing around pointlessly, killing our villagers. You should really stop doing that.
No, no! Keep at it! Make the people fear you!
Uhh...yeah I agree.

To quote the great Yahtzee Croshaw, people want to play games the same way they want to read a book or watch a movie, slouched in a chair with a big bag of maltesers.

The health of kids is much more related to what they are eating rather than the amount of excercise they are getting.

Last I knew the amount of physical activities kids engage in dropped a fairly small amount whereas the food they are eating has gotten much worse.

Sugar has overcome everything but water in quite a few beverages where it once was 4th or 5th on the list of ingredients when I was a kid.

I hate to steal the line since I can't recall his name but "We should start eating food again, and stop eating food-like-substances."

Michael Pollins? I think...something like that. Very informative journalist.

But yeah, just feed your kids well and I can assure you that except for some very special genetic cases they'll grow up quite healthy, with nice teeth, and likely more energy than you wish to deal with :).

That's what my parents did with my family and none of us started getting fat till we left the house and ate "food like substances".

Well...in the interest of honesty I'm still a twig...but genetics can be a stubborn mule for some. I'm sure my body is just waiting for the day to jack up 60 pounds. Hopefully I'll have learned just before then ;).

I'd be willing to bet a +1 to your post count that after you literally did you'd feel great. It's the drive towards exercising that sucks. The drive back is fantastic (high off endorphins).

If you want to cheat, just start drinking ice cold water all the time. The mere act of the water warming in your body costs you calories. It's not going to offset any meaningful amount of food but it's a neat point.

I have wondered if everything you ate was ice cold if you could dramatically offset a meaningful amount of calories.

This is theoretically speaking, but the Kinect has some of the most advanced voice recognition ever, so wouldnt it be possible to macro certain voice commands to use spells and abilities?

The only issue i can think of is Targetting. I mean the kinect wont know what the hell your yelling "TARGET MOVIRJEIW, THE LEVEL 85 TAUREN PALADIN!"

Its gonna take some work but, i reckon this could be a laugh for levelling.

For raids and PVP, definatly mouse and keyboard but, for levellin, kinect all the way.

I dont mind embarassing myself from time to time.
