Though Relius had more screen time he did less as a character overall. He'll definitely have more significance later on. Plus let's consider gameplay issues. Arc probably doesn't know how to make Relius differ from Carl while Valkenhayn's kickass werewolf powers will be easier to pull off and probably better received by the fanbase.
Oh I totally agree that he makes issues with gameplay as him and Ignis would just be a copy-paste of Carl. Though if I remember right Relius HIMSELF never fights, letting Ignis do all the work. Also I think Valkenhayn, according to the artbook, fights using mostly kicks. The werewolf thing is also unconfirmed, though the design of his crest and the name of his theme lends credence to that theory.

From what I hear the DLC characters are like $10 each which I think is to high. But I may be wrong.
It's $7 each and they come with their Unlimited Form, all color palettes, Challenges, and tutorials, though they don't have a story mode and aren't playable in Legion or Arcade.
Im glad I forgot to pick the first Blazblue up. I will now pick this one up in *looks at Game.co.uk* 87 days. I can wait I still have Guilty Gear to hold me over.

I'm loving the new "joke" endings for each character in Story Mode.
The Tapioca Queen!
And the "Teach Me, Professor Kokonoe" episodes when you get the "bad ending".
I'm failing each story TWICE on purpose to see both the bad ending, and the joke ending.
If you haven't seen any of the joke endings, Funk, you simply HAVE to.
Oh, here's some music for those too lazy to look up the AWESOME:
It's...madness...Once I started embedding songs, I couldn't stop. And Bang is outside the spoiler box on purpose.
He's so badass, he gets a second theme when he transforms.

I'd say those to things pretty much confirm it. I doubt his theme would be called Howling Moon if he wasn't a werewolf. Plus the whole mythology of werewolves being subservient to vampires fits into it as well.
"Okay so I'm playing as Rachel, one of the best characters in the game. I'd best balance that out. This Tager guy looks pretty shitty, I'll play him as well."

I've been slowly working my way towards unlocking the one and only secret ("secret") character, and I'm enjoying Continuum Shift as much as I did Calamity Trigger... but with one, major dissent.
Arakune got nerfed! D:
(Yeah, he deserved it, but DAMN IT ALL I liked abusing him.)

I fucking wish. Thanks to some serious buffs Tager now wont cause your opponent to laugh hysterically until they shit themselves to death when you pick him. He will still, however, lose horribly unless you're playing against Noel.

Awesome stuff. I loved the first game and put the entire soundtrack on my iPod. Zen United (the guys who distribute BlazBlue/Guilty Gear in Europe) recently had a Fan edition of this on their store. It was basically the limited edition which also came with a Makoto download code, and a Noel nendoroid figure. I went to pre-order one, but they sold out as only 500 were being made.
Rachel got nerfed to uselessness. its kinda sad, seing as shes supposed to be 1 of the most powerful characters in the series, besides The Imperator, Jubei and possibly Terumi/Hazama.
Arakune didnt get nerfed too badly. hes still often used in competitive play.
the character that truly deserved a nerf was Nu. being able to easily pull a 5000 damage combo out of her jumpsuited arse was just lame, especially since SHE DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO TOUCH YOU. and now shes back as Lambda´s Unlimited mode... *sigh*

Damn I wish I could agree with what you're saying about Tager. With the almighty power of Gadget Finger loops and his insane amount of Guard Primers I don't have issues with any of the cast with him. I'm not even allowed to play him in the company of my friends thanks to the unstoppable loop of Gadget Finger -> Tager Buster.

It's been pretty much agreed upon that Arakune got nerfed. It takes too long to proc bugs anymore and taking away his free dash after dive bomb really crippled his maneuverability and made him more predictable.
There's a decent plot summary for the story mode, and the tutorial mode is fantastic, teaching you more than enough to be a decent player. Even some basic combo strings!

Haha, awesome. It doesn't come out until October in the UK though, which kinda sucks.
But when I do eventually play it, and I've improved my skills, I'll play you.

Oh he owns in casual play. His high damage, massive health and ridiculously easy to learn combos (followed with a free atomic divider if your opponent even thinks about air teching after the standing D) makes him a bit of a beast against semi-good players. Someone who knows what they're doing though will own Tager pretty much every time. He simply doesn't have the tools to deal with quick rushdown or zoning. For example his only answer to Ragna's standing B (which is still absurdly quick) is a backdash followed by a command throw and if that get's baited them, wohoo, it's time to start eating fist.
