It doesn't. I've hardly seen anyone use them. Maybe 1 out of 100 will, at the most. No one wants to give up their primary weapon slot.gxs said:Why do I have the feeling that the multi-player portion of the game has a gazilion users running around with riot shields.

Its not a mohawk technically, its an army crew cut.Captain Pancake said:wait, wait. Is soap the guy with that pitiful little mohawk?
Yeah, to tell you the truth it is actually kind of hard to use, if you cant see someone you are dead. A lot less cheap than I thougtianrocks6495 said:It doesn't. I've hardly seen anyone use them. Good enough review, but I spotted a glaring problem with that above statement, and that would be under your recommendation.Russ Pitts said:Modern Warfare 2 is everything a sequel should be, and more.
See, I fit fairly well into that first category. A game has to have an incredibly appealing story for me to reply it, and multiplayer is a rarity for me at the best of times. Therefore, I think it fairly safe to assume that this is something the game could easily improve upon. Something CoD4, a sequel itself, did readily. I played through the game several times, as the story dragged me in, the gameplay was fun, and on top of that, the story was easily accessible, and not a heap of twists and turns like the road into Switzerland at the end of the 1969-release of The Italian Job.Russ Pitts said:Recommendation: If you never, ever replay games, and don't play multiplayer, then you should give this one a weekend rental. Otherwise, this game is well-worth your hard-earned cash. Games don't come any more highly polished than this.
I think it's some sort of hybrid. A crew hawk, if you will.Tdc2182 said:Its not a mohawk technically, its an army crew cut.Captain Pancake said:wait, wait. Is soap the guy with that pitiful little mohawk?
First, grammar. Second, the sheild is actually a pain to use and really is hard to use. If someone gets out of your feild of view your dead. usually they have a better shot at melleing you. also explosive damage.Dhatz said:that shield is the biggest fucking bshit i've ever seen in my life. not only does it stand everything, but it can kill and there is no way to point a gun over it at defending person's head, which anyone with brain would do in order to kill the defending ASSHOAL. we better stick to counter-strike because it goes like this "call of duty" in title = it's bshit.
Now that is an unfair statement. It takes what has been done before and makes it better while adding so much stuff that has never been done. Its far from generic.Nerdfury said:I look forward to the next game in the series: Call of Duty XIV: Modern Combat IIX: Adventures in Generic War Shooters VI: Lord of the Shades of Brown.
Yeah Really I got it the Saturday prior to official release at about 6pm finished the game at 11 just because I took some breaks in between. If you play the game on the hardest difficulty maybe 10 hrs, but it's a stretch. Despite the length the whole game was skillfully and beautifully done. The story in my opinion was stronger in this game than its predecessor MW1. The Already great Multi-Player was overhauled and made better both in map design and experience.Kstreitenfeld said:6 to 12 hours to complete the campaign? You can run through the campaign in 4 to 6 hours tops if you die a lot. The only way I could possibly see you get 12 hours out of this campaign is if you play through on each difficultly.
You heard it first folks. PC gamers are mad because they don't get their wants, so that means the game is bad for everyone. Good logic there.TOGSolid said:JimmerDunda said:If you're a console gamer, you will love this game. We're pissed because we're not used to wallowing in shit like console gamers are and IW are trying to force us to.
Thus far, I've only seen one honest review of Modern Warfare 2, and it's from Ars Technica.
