This could solve my fear of tornadoes... and I don't really enjoy the sky and air that much, could get nice and warm at some point, but freezing otherwise. Hmm... I'd buy one if I had the money, but not for 2012, no sir, I'd be buying one because I'm crazy like that.

Already considered building a Monolithic Dome to look like it came straight from Tatooine.

Pretty nice, but you also need to have water processing, electricity and have some means to grow food.

This guy deserves a medal. "Best Crazy Person In Show".

Although on the 99.9999% chance this 2012 bull turns out to be real, the only people left to repopulate will be all the crazies who bought space in the vault... Guess I'll take a stroll through a mushroom cloud then.

This. sounds. awesome.
but one problem, how long could you sustain yourselves?
Well, some people tend to grow weed in their closets by means of ultraviolet light.

I suppose one could build an entire wing of such a thing for the Bunker's Greenhouse and Livestock Cellar - that's how I'd do it - and use whatever the cattle drop for fertilizer. They may even find a means to replicate the UV Ray without black lights by means of Solar Panels above ground transferring energy below through some object that would emanate the energy. Then again I'm spouting something borderline Science Fiction - everything is possible, we just don't have the means to prove it - possibly in a homage to Fallout itself.

Maybe they have a chemical that allows the plants to produce without the need of said energy being absorbed by artificial sunlight, like spray on tan. Again, Science Fiction, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone out there is trying to get a grant or has already. I'd be disappointed if they didn't get such a grant, yet.

So long as I get to play Mass Effect 3 before the fiery apocalypse, I could care less...

Seriously though, I'm not betting these actually work. I mean, these haven't been tested after all.
sorry but the bible says
"And when Biowares 3rd 'mass effect' interactive story is released the end of the world will to"
John 23:45

true story there.
Damn, I need to read up on my Bible. Maybe I'll get to see the title menu before the bombs drop...

This whole "December 21st, 2012" thng... what time zone does it relate to? I'd like to at least have a shower before it happens.
