To summarize: Real-life sucks (both visually and socially), Fantasy is unrealistically perfect but pleasurable (though lacking any social interaction). For anons who enjoy anime and are misanthropes, it's merely a mindset that you can take with tongue-in-cheek and mild seriousness.

I've know I've come across one or two guys online who insisted that they only found anime girls sexy, and that they couldn't stand real-life women. But I seem to recall that was more of a grumpy "modern women are too demanding/bitchy/won't-go-out-with-me" rather than finding a real human body disgusting.

OT: I don't want to generalise but the kind of person who prefers cartoons over the real thing, most likely have never had the real thing.

I've come to think that these guys are in love with more of a concept than an object or image. The idealized woman idea can be really cancerous though, as the quoted examples show, since it really crosses into psychosis. This kind of attachment to some imaginary being is kind of serious. Something which has been amusing me lately. Guys saying that they prefer 2D girls to their 3D counterparts. Now I'm not having a go, I don't mind that you feel that way, I just want to know why some people consider real life girls pig disgusting. Of course you have to deal with all the smells and fluids of a real girl no matter how much perfume they use, whereas it's completely optional with 2D girls whether or not you want to imagine they have any body fluids or unpleasant smells.

Maybe part of the problem is holding the ideal girl on a pedestal as a completely sanitary, angelic creature who does not poop, does not breathe, does not have any of the human bodily functions that a male has. Are there any more reasons?

Generally just less to deal with. Women don't typically grow out of their relational princess syndrome until their late 20's, early 30's where they start to recognize that they're not the only ones in the relationship, and that it's not buying a fucking car where you can always think there's going to be something better.

Women are also expensive. Mysteriously despite all this rush to have equal rights and everything women still expect men to foot the bill.

The general attraction to 2d girls is purely based on ideals. In a sense? Men shopping for a mental doll of sorts. They want comforting lies of harsh realities- and no, it has very little to do with bodily functions- and frankly I can understand perfectly why they would.
