Rock Band 3 Will Have Pro Modes and Real Guitars

And it still wont be a real guitar where your finger pads hurt after pressing the string and you need pretty agile fingers to reach some of the chords.
Then again its better than the toy previously i guess, after all the games about fun and enjoyment not real guitar playing, i just prefer my real ones tho and real life band > virtual.

Well, I'm not sure i need another rock band, i kinda got bored of them a while ago. This one does sound cool, and i would love one with a keyboard, since i play piano. Still, it would probably take a ton to convince me to spend another $200 on essentially the same game.

This whole gaming thing has been a long charade to get kids to form REAL bands!

Exactly what I was thinking. All those Musicians that were complaining that kids were playing these games instead of learning to play weren't looking at the big picture. Harmonix knows kids don't want to learn to play, but they do want a high score.

When Rock Band 3 comes out, the kid's will look down and realize that they have been conned into learning! They'll be pissed, of course, but it'll be too late by then.

If my brother and his mates can still look like complete drunkarses and play this without breaking the good version of the guitars, then I might buy it.

Sounds great, guess I won't be awaiting the distant release of Rock Band 2 in Australia anymore!

Unless they do the same thing as before and end up releasing 2 here and 3 everywhere else, of cause. Rock Band is, IMO, much better than the Guitar Hero games, but I can't help but feel a bit disrespected by Harmomix.

I was worried when I first heard the keyboard was going to be included since it depended how much keys it would have. However, I think I'm satisfied with the amount of keys there are. I think once I heard more about the "real guitar" thing, I'll be deciding between "I may get it..." and "Preorder!".

However, I'm also interested in the release date. If it goes to hell like Rock Band did, I'll be mad.

Edit: It also depends on price. Not in the mood to pay £150 for Rock Band stuff.

I would love it if you could use your own midi keyboards, or even hook up real electrical instruments to it!

Would be nice to actually be able to learn the guitar by playing a game, or to keep up with trumpet practice and relearn piano through a game XD

NO... I vowed that I wouldn't buy another music game again because I didn't want to feed the beast... Stop with all this good stuff, because I don't have $300+ for this! Either way... it looks pretty cool, but we'll have to see how they're going to make this all work, first.
