I'd probably try it, but with BioShock 2 being buggy and hell, and the multiplayer... ugh... not even going there... I'm not gonna plan on buying it without a trial or demo.

There isn't even online multiplayer for Bioshock 1 or 2
... *facepalm*
Oh wait, yeah there is multiplayer. I guess that makes me an idiot, huh? Sorry!

This is like making Casablanca into a Saturday morning cartoon series. Leave BioShock alone, 2K, you have enough money.

Please, please just stop. I cant handle it anymore, every little thing has to be considered being made into an MMO. KOTOR was my favorite game of all time and Bioware killed that with the unspeakable one.

Please Take Two, please dont do this.

There is in 2, but it is horrible... would have been better off without it.

MMO's: instead of selling the game one time to a customer, that customer has to pay every month to keep playing. Too many developers see MMO's as money printers. They are certainly not. Players have to have a reason to fork out money every month, and if there's no reason, they will leave. That's why so many MMO's fail in their first year.

O please, no! Would completely ruin the atmosphere that made Bioshock great.

Aside from getting to further explore Rapture (which could easily be done via book, maybe something like a D&D module with maps detailing the city and detailed descriptions of rooms/sections and creatures. Why not? Dragon Age did it.) I don't see the need for a Bioshock MMO. I'm pretty sure if we put our collective ears to the doors at every successful gaming devs' office doors we'd hear similar conversations being tossed around.

We recently heard about the Halo MMO, I certainly wasn't surprised there, mostly just glad that it never saw a release.

I am not that opposed to the idea, but I am very esceptical to it.

Yes, there is a lot of material to draw ideas from and yes, the setting of a civil war is appealing, but I believe it would be beating a dead horse (Rapture and it's whole story) If the series wants to move forward they need to leave rapture behind once and for all.

Geez. What's next? A Mario MMO?
Count me out.
I can picture it, a mushroom faction and a koopa faction, in either of them you could play as a toad a yoshi, a koopa and a goomba, each class with 3 different skill trees for customization...

The expansion would add mario galaxy levels and different classes like a bomb-bomb, lakitu and spinarac.... pure sheer awesomenes!!

Wow, on a list of terrible ideas this ranks pretty high. Bioshock is great because of its story and atmosphere, two things which are impossible to achieve in a massively multiplayer game.

I think MMOs haven't achieved good atmosphere and story telling, but it's possible and close at hand.

This is still a rumor, and I'm sure if devs don't toss the idea around, marketing divisions will. Seriously, isn't a companies job to make money? I'm sure people not focused with developing Bioshock has posed many ideas. I'm sure that Bioshock fans have also asked them to "Do it again" with another good game. I hope and trust that they have enough integrity with Bioshock to only make more of them if they actually have a good story.

By the end of next quarter, will either have a confirmation or not. A MMO takes years to develop, so if they haven't started there is no way they're going to tell us that. If they have, then we'll have to wait and see.

Not every bloody game series needs an MMO! I really wish this trend would die.

I see a setting but I don't see much Money coming out of it. No one would buy it. It has probably a pretty good setting but I can't see it working.
