I couldn't possibly care less about Mass Effect 3, as it will be even more dumbed down than 2, likely.

But Dragon Age 2...that excites me. I hope for better combat animations. They all felt so...stiff.

I hope for news on Fable 3 and Saint's Row 3, too.
I feel the exact opposite. I'm really excited about Mass Effect 3, don't care about Dragon Age 2 (since the combat sucked ass, especially at the beginning for anything but Wizards, and the expansion pack was pretty bad). Fable 3 is a giant MEH, SR3 too.

Unless they improve the crappy combat from DA, that is.

I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3. Hopefully they'll keep the proper cover-based shooter system from ME2, but the in-depth RPG elements from the original.

Dragon Age 2? Loved the gameplay and story from the original. If they make the graphics good enough that you actually feel involved and fix the bugs, I'm buying it for sure. But they were kind of stretching the story with Awakening, and since its an expansion, doesn't the story have to work even if you didn't buy it? And how are they going to make the story work? Will it use some Architect gimmick (which won't work if you killed him, so I guess not), or will it involve you not doing something for the Grey Wardens? We've had so many choices in the previous games, I fail to see how it'll work without at least 3 completely different and seperate stories. I don't want Dragon Age's story messsed up! I LOVED IT! Still, if anyone can do this, it's BioWare. Good luck to them, I guess.

Bioware can't make DLC to save their damn lives. I don't know what the hell is wrong with the DLC team...Everything they made is shit. Especially that Firewalker pack bullshit.

That's too soon imo. I LOVED both those games but I'm worried they will be rushed if they're this quick about it.
Its not that bad. Alot of the time from me1>2 was because of the massive rework they did. It using the same system, being already written just means they need to do the work behind it.

Fable 3 will promise things then never deliver on them.

Indeed. But I never listen to the hype train. I just want to see more of John Cleese, really. I take games for what they are. Not what I wanted them to be.

They're back, if they went.

As for ME3 and Dragon Age 2. Eh. I don't think it'll be Dragon Age 2, personally, I'm guessing it's a tenative title. There was that EA press release thingy earlier in the year which said "Dragon Age (PC/Consoles/Handheld)" which is seriously making me doubt it's DA2 and more of a tie-in title. It seems just a little too soon for DA2. Mass Effect 3 though? Woot. Bring it on!

The lack of Mirror's Edge 2 disturbs me greatly, though.

Mass Effect 3. I am very excited about this. I've heard people complain about it and saying that it's just for the money, but Mass Effect being a TRILOGY right from the start, it's only natural it has a third part. There is really nothing that can really stop me from being excited about this one. Except if they require project Natal for it.

Dragon Age 2. Probably gonna be good, will be interesting to see what it's like, since the first one... well... it ended.

I've seen fakes like this before. I'll reserve judgement for the official line on whether there's going to be floorspace for ME3 or DA2. And that guy who said ME2 was dumbed down? No, you're still not cool yet. It was precisely the same level of intelligence and wit as the first one, with massively improved combat mechanics.

Dragon Age was finished way before it was released in 2009 so i think by 2011, its a good enough time for a sequel.

Wait, there are people who say Mass Effect, a planned trilogy from the first day of announcement, is just milking it?

...I have no words.

Unfortunately that turns against them. I really wanted fable 2 to be good. I enjoyed fable1. I like to make decisions. For example butch in fallout 3. I decided right at my birthday if I ever got the chance I was going to kill him. i am the protagonist you do not screw with me. You sure as shit don't nonchalantly disrespect me.

Part of the reason I liked rdr so much. Dude takes my hat, he gets shot. Dead man accuses me of cheating at cards, I remind him with 4 bullets in his face. Guy strings me along to do his dirty work instead of being straight with me. Fire bottle to his face as he lays on the ground. As Jack I hog tied Ross's wife and dropped her in that lake outside their house. A pack of coyotes following me killed his brother. Then I had it out with him Most of this was story line. Things that the game wanted me to do, not that I chose.

In fable 2, I grew attached to my little character. I felt bad when asshole shot my sister in front of me. The only family I had. Then he made the mistake of shooting me too. At that moment I decided he was a dead man. No awww I'll forgive you shit. Dead, in the biggest way possible. Compounded by the fact right before the end he shoots my dog, the only thing I had left from my childhood. Whom over the course of the game I had also grown rather attached to. Then no vengeance, I just show up and shoot him, maybe reaver shoots him. Then I get grief from my companions about my choice? When I wanted my dog/sister back, and Hanna gave me shit, I wanted to at least beat her mercilessly right there.

I am still waiting for resolution on that game. The fact in later dlc they gave you the option to change your dog was bullshit. He wanted that dog to feel special, it can't be special if you change it around at whim.

Dammit Bioware! Why do they torment my soul? Dragon Age 2 AND Mass Effect 3? My Internet connection will weep and beg for mercy as I dual pre-order both these things. And my hardrive will choke on its own blood as I fill it to utter capacity.

And let's not get into what this'll do to the remnants of my social life. Dammit but you could tell me that Bioware is a Columbian Drug Cartel at this point their stuff is so addictive.

I am one of those folks who enjoyed both of Bioware's offerings. I would love a chance to see more of the wider world of Dragon Age and how ME ends up. (Like exploring worlds and I like stories)

Well, the Firewalker pack was for free. You get what you pay for...

If they show off Mass Effect 3, it will most likely be a teaser trailer like the one from before 2009's E3.

Ahh...but he can still feel special. If you start a character early on, the DLC is available, you can change the breed before you develop the relationship with the dog, right after the called "tutorial/intro". I do like the way the DLC integrated very nicely into Fable 2. You had a few quests in each, and unlocked them in progression through the main story with new characters. It just...felt right. Like the quests were evolving with me. If you played the DLC after beating the game, with an old character, you'd probably hate it a lot more than someone like me, who played the game...3 times, irrc. 2 good, 1 evil.

True enough. True enough. But the DLC for Dragon Age that they charge for is inexcusably terrible.
