I don't know why you all want Classic Controller support. Dual Analog shooting sucks. Although I do believe that they will support your foolishness (as another suggested bundle in the survey was a gold Classic Controller Pro).

I 'tried' to play it again a year or two ago. I couldn't do it, and wish I hadn't tried. Horrendous framerate, poor, blocky graphics and an archaic control scheme. Goldeneye was good for it's time, but time has not been good to some of those old FPS. First person shooters have moved on since then. I'm happy for Goldeneye to remain the fond memory it is.

That being said, a HD remake, like they did with Perfect Dark would be dandy.

You know what, I am actually genuinely excited about this. Goldeneye was one of the games I played that eventually led me into more serious gaming, back when I was a nipper, so seeing it remade presents no problems for me.

Well to tide everybody over, there is a Source Engine Mod called Goldeneye: Source.

Its pretty cool, although its only the multiplayer segment.

I want it to be a direct port. Seeing as I've never owned an N64, but I did play it when I was younger I'd like to play the origninal without forking out for an N64.

And thus...the Wii hate continues. Since Nintendo still owns the rights to Goldeneye, this will only be on the Wii. SO instead of supporting this, most people are hating it because it's on the Wii. Which is the most childish reason. A second reason to hate this is that remakes are usually hit or miss. Since they add some unnecessary things. That's a pretty good reason. The only thing I'm worried about is the multiplayer. If they have Friend Codes, hackers will be out and about. Just like Mariokart and The Conduit. Let's hope Nintendo doesn't mess up the multiplayer.

The game hasn't aged well. Like, everything in it hasn't aged well. It's one of those games that was good for the time but aged very, very poorly.

Golden Eye was successful because it had a solid Single Player game tacked on to the best console multiplayer shooter of the time.

It was the quality of the gameplay that made it a best seller. Just remaking the game will not guarantee this to be any good.

I think you're confusing motion control with pointer control, IMO pointer control is much better than using dual analog sticks because it's almost like a KB/M setup.

Well I dont like the keybord and mouse set up because I grew up playing fpses on consoles not pc's and when I do play on a pc I'm never any good. All of that was in my opinion.
