Before GTA: San Andreas, rumors flew about places such as Tokyo, Las Vegas, and England. With the exception of Vegas, nothing was close.

REMAKE GTA LONDON

But that aside, that does actually sound quite cool. Of course, it's also an opportunity to get celebrity cameos...and in-game advertising...and print money.

Really, after Vice City San Andreas, I just kind of stopped caring about GTA. Baring little changes, graphical upgrades, the core gameplay remains unchanged. I feel like if you've played one GTA title, you've played them all.

Really? San Andreas was a HUGE leap for GTA. I think it was the most important game yet from the GTA series.

i don't think GTA will ever go to London, even though that's where every Englishmen wants it to be. i just don't think rockstar could inject American humor into a foreign place,a t least without it being non stop jokes about London stereotypes.

didn't they already do California?
You do know the first game was in London right?

Wasnt the next one supposed to be in Rothbury? *duckforcover*

I support everything that is either not set in the USA or in the present day.

London 1969 was released after the original.

No you're right. I forgot about San Andreas for a moment there, and edited my post. Not fast enough to catch your quoting me though. :) No, I guess I stopped caring about GTA directly after San Andreas. At that point, I got just enough GTA.

And SA fans, there's your fucking wish: they really are going back there.
Guess Rockstar must be running out of ideas.

On the one hand, it would be a rather small game if it were to only include hollywood. On the other hand, I would buy ten copies if I would get to repeatedly murder some of the more notorious celebreties.
To be honest, I'd much rather have another game set in the 80s like Vice City though. Add good driving physics (not the GTA4 sort), awesome 80s music, and better graphics, and you've got yourself a Game of the Year title...

I think that we may be looking at a San Andreas game if this is true, only without the massive world in between the cities. Shrink it down to be more like one city, only with a couple of patches of green between them. That would be cool.

Interesting. Surely, if they want to remake LA again, they should just Los Santos, or maybe just the whole of San Andreas? Do something like they did with GTA4 and GTA3, copying the other, but making most of the stuff new.

I suppose we'll learn in time.
Yeah I'd like this. I thought san andreas was the most interesting sandbox because of how varied it was, far more so than IV which was just samey city blocks for miles. It didn't have as many landmarks as I like from Gta games...

Hmmm, if they're planning on using Vinewood, then we may be looking at a San Andreas re-imagining here. And if that's true, sign me up.

What? They've done liberty city 3 times now.
Now's an awful specific time to say they're running out of ideas.

Until the word hits the net that the next GTA will be fun I won't give a damn what they do.
I don't know where you've been, or for how long, but GTA has always been good.

Pretty sure it's just easier to copy an existing location than to create an entirely new concept. Never been a huge fan of Liberty City myself

I didn't like San Andreas, it was too over the top, one minute you're a 'Gangsta from da hood' and in the next minute you're infiltrating a military base, on you're own, to steal A JETPACK! Sure it's a cute idea, but it's not GTA! Vice City was good, and I liked the realism in Gta4. I don't get why people complain about it, YES IT'S FUN! And the expansions gave you a tank and parashute!

Maybe they're making San Andreas Stories?
