Oh no! Not a bad name! Everyone knows that names are really important and should totally affect the way you like a product! Just look at the Wii! What a horrible name, and I'm so glad noone bought it because of that.
Microsoft hasn't named their device yet? Oh no! We are going to have a name gap! All hell will follow, controllers as we know them will cease to exist.
What is everyone's problem? It's a name that isn't even confirmed as of yet.
Both of them make more sense to me than Natal, and I doubt they could change that name because everyone on the internet already knows what Natal is.

looks like a dildo... and with that preconceived notion in mind "Arc" sounds like a dirty name for it.
I still say the Playstation Glowstick would be the best name. The thing looks perfect for hosting rave parties with.

And I'm going to have to agree with Brotherofwill. Why is everyone getting so worked up over the name? I'm more concerned with the fact that this just looks to me like a Wii-mote. It's like a ps3-mote. At least Microsoft's thing is adding something to the technology. I've always liked Sony and the Playstation consoles, but I'm not convinced that jumping on the motion bandwagon in this way is the way to go. I like the Wii, but it was kind of a curve ball that managed to work. I'm not sure that the same kinds of games, but on another system will help all that much. And god, imagine the learning curve Natal is going to have for programmers. Microsoft will probably manage to create some really good stuff for it, but developers might be shrugging their shoulders for a while.
I guess time will tell for all this.

Cool name, but that thing looks stupid as hell. I wish Sony and Microsoft would stop trying to cash in on motion control and casual gaming. Nintendo's got that market cornered anyways.
