Wait, you're seriously defending his stealing from kids with cancer? There is never a 'legit' reason to steal. There's doubly never a 'legit' reason to steal from sick children! I don't care what situation he and his family are in; if he was stealing food I might have some sympathy, but he was stealing gaming consoles. Not food, not clothes, not anything needed for survival. Gaming systems donated to kids who are undergoing cancer treatment. There is no redemption for that.
