Sequels to games that deserve them.

I'd like to see Dishonored with a "sequel", in the sense that it's the same universe, but has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PLOT OF THE FIRST GAME because the first game wraps everything up nice and neatly.
Arkane could develop a spiritual successor that's pretty much a sequel, perhaps? That's what From Soft did from Demon's Souls to Dark Souls.

A thread about sequels and no Jade Empire 2 yet? Man, even with the recent downslide in Bioware game quality that's still a surprise. (Unless someone before posted it and I missed it).

Other than that, yeah, Alpha Protocol 2 as stated.

"Spiritual successors" are more "have the same themes" though. They generally don't take place in the same universe (like how Bioshock is considered a spiritual successor to System Shock). Don't Demon's and Dark Souls take place in the same universe? (I don't really know, I don't play either game).

I really would like to see more of the Dishonored universe, since it seems so intriguing but you don't really see enough of it, IMO.

The two don't take place in the same universe, no, but the Souls games have identical gameplay and you would swear that their worlds really are the same.

However, yeah, I would prefer a straight-up Dishonored sequel, it's just that it would need to be approached from an angle that doesn't include Corvo or really any of the previous characters at all.

Teleroboxer. If any game deserves a 'redo' it's Teleroboxer. It was the best reason to pick up a Virtual Boy and was perhaps the only game to really utilize the unique control scheme. Teleroboxer was basically 1st-person Punch*Out with robots where each half of the VB controller, controls that half of the robot (ie: left command cross to move the left arm, right controls the right arm, etc).

I think Teleroboxer would be best on the 3DS but the absolute best-case for it would be to ship similar to Kid Icarus only instead of shipping with a console stand, it would ship with either a Circle-Pad Pro or, voucher for a free/discounted one (or 3 SKUs: one game-only, one CPP and, one CPP-XL).

I haven't shut up about Teleroboxer and don't plan to...it would be great on the Virtual Boy and, Harry the Teleroboxer would make a great addition to Smash 4 (be he playable or, assist trophy)

Well, I'd like to see more of the Outsider, since I find the mythos of Dishonored probably the more fascinating parts. Maybe we could look at the other people the Outsider has granted his powers. Perhaps they live in one of the other countries, I'd like to see them.

I'm hanging on for a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil, I loved that game, there was serious talk of it, but I don't know if it is still in development. I also wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to Primal, tighten the combat and all, but the ending of it was ambiguous enough to leave room for a sequel, I also wouldn't mind another Jedi Knight game.

Probably has been posted already, but Psychonauts. Shit, it needs a sequel so bad.

Rampage.

Yeah, that's right Ram-god-damn-page.

Rampage World Tour was actually a great follow up and delivered the same arcade experience with some added comedy and fun but they milked that franchise dry really fast.

Here's what you do. Take a game like Hulk: Ultimate Desctruction or Prototype and just make the adjustments to the story and and mechanics where needed to make it fit with a giant Lizard, Ape and Wolf Man.

Boom! Done!

Advent Rising set up a sequel, but never got one. It makes Halo 2's ending look like a perfect explanation based on how much a cliffhanger this one was.

Brutal Legends deserves a sequel, though due to it being metalhead culture and metal being not a popular genre with the majority of the world will never get one. Though if Tim Schafer makes a sequel he needs to improve combat because once you get the facemelter solo, the game is just to easy.

Psychonauts as some of others have already mentioned. Knight of the Old Republic would be fun too.

I think there is (or possibly, was) scope for a really good Red Dead Redemption sequel about Jack going for vengeance. To be honest, that quest felt pretty tacked on and underwhelming, I can't imagine people would be up in arms if it were retconned.

My answer for this is the same as every other time it comes up: Conker's Bad Fur Day.

I'm not sure how one would work exactly seeing as the story wasn't open ended but man do I want to experience more of the awesomeness that was Conker's Bad Fur Day.
And this. Definitely this. It must happen.
I'm not sure I'd want a Red Dead sequel, personally. I thought the end of the first was a fabulous final note to go out with, as it left some things up to the player to imagine (what did Jack do to become an outlaw?) and provided a poignant message about the emptiness of vengeance.

OT: I'd love to see Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy get it's sequel. The game ends with a "To be continued...." message to boot!

Space Marine. It had a fantastic base-game with fighting that flowed really damn well between melee and ranged combat and I think it deserves another shot. New enemies, longer campaign, new weapons and just more in general! Relic Entertainment somehow pulled it off and I hope SEGA gives them another chance in the future.
This. Space Marine was the WH40K shooter that did the universe justice.

STALKER deserves a sequel. A glorious, PC only one :D . With full mod support, glorious AI systems, the entire zone and awesome monsters. A man can dream :p
I pray that development will continue some day for it.

As does a new Anarchy Reigns which was abit rough around the edges and a flop due to SEGA running out of money and naff lobby / matchmaking. The core gameplay element minus the button mashing crap was sound as a pound though.
I wonder if konami would let them have Revengeace's Raiden as a bonus character if they ever did make a sequel.

I'd say none, seeing that my normal choice is Mirror's Edge, but after learning that the devs seem to think that Faith needs to be "more able in combat" and seeing how ANITA SARKEESIAN is now a CONSULTANT on the project, and she's trying to SIMPLIFY THE CONTROLS, I'll say that Mirror's Edge deserves a sequel... but probably not the one it's getting.

Advent Rising really deserves having its trilogy finished, I mean the whole concept of humans being treated as gods by aliens is pretty darn cool and the game ended on a very promising note.
God dammit, this. I replayed it a couple of years back and it's still awesome.

EDIT: For my own contribution: Hostile Waters: Anteus Rising. That game was brilliant, inventive, and not at all subtle about leading into a sequel.

wait simplifing the controls in Mirror's Edge? Are they planning to make it a QTE movie?

For the topic: X-wing and Kotor would be my favourites

vanquish defo deserves a sequel.

And maybe someone could fire up a reboot of the old Dune games. Maybe make it into a space rpg or something. But that universe definitely needs another cracking go
