@Frac: Yes. I'm thinking of implementing a rule next round where if there are an even number of people who fail to vote in time for 3 cycles in total they are automatically kicked from the game, no death posts, no nothin'. They do not count as murders or executions.

If this applies to an odd number of players at the same time then an even amount which are chosen randomly will be kicked.

The 1 remaining player is still eligible to be kicked but this will only take effect when another player fails to vote as well and the number is even.

Even though some players already know this, but I'll add something about giving the GM a list of people who you want to vote for beforehand if you are not able to vote normally.

Why not just void the 80% rule for the rest of this round? While it's well-intentioned, arguably the rule isn't fair on the majority of voters whose choice gets repeatedly nullified by a minority who can't be bothered to vote. Something like Aerosteam's proposal to ditch players after three absences from votes would encourage people to vote while not aversely affecting those who are already engaged in the game.
