Serial Killer Round 60: Mansion of Eternity (Game over!!!! Lost Soul's victory!!!!)

Well, I have been voting, for the most part. However, this death shall be mine, and here is my post:
Things were growing tense in the mansion, and a Tonberry rushed the halls, always busy with a task or an effort that the collective wasn't aware of. Mighty suspicious, considering Tonberrys always carried knives with their lanterns. What purpose did the creature have to go from place to place, what purpose was hidden behind those blank yellow eyes? The group had to know. With silent discussion among themselves, they decided that with their dwindling party and a killer on the loose, the Tonberry had to go.
With the decision made, it was time to find the traitorous lizard! Not that it was very hard. The lone blue lantern glowed in one of the hallways of the mansion, and their query was found, bearing it's typical equipment of Lantern and Knife in hand. bluerocker gave a nervous chuckle, a feminine voice escaping from somewhere (seeing as there was no visible mouth on the Tonberry), [color=15650D]"Greetings friends... It's rather late, huh? Or is it always just dark here?"[/color]
"Save it. We know it was you!"
[color=15650D]"What?! You can't be serious!"[/color]
Several pairs of hands grabbed for the Tonberry before she could say much more, the knife and the lantern pulled away from her. Two of the survivors pinned the Tonberry's arms down on the floor as one of them held her knife, looking at the Tonberry menacingly,
"It's only suiting that you should die by the knife you used to kill others, isn't it, bluerocker?"
bluerocker shook her head, crying out, [color=15650D]"No, you misunderstand! I had to keep my role secret, or else the killer would have taken me down in a heartbeat!"[/color]
"Try to make your death dignified bluerocker, there's no use in begging".
And with that, the Tonberry's knife was brought down into her chest, the creature gurgling in pain as blood began to fill her throat. A few more swift stabs, and bluerocker's head lolled back, her parting words spoke as her life ebbed away,
[color=15650D]"I...was trying... to save... all of you... It's the medic's...job..."[/color]

1) I thought we were supposed to keep everything secret, all players, all roles until reveal.
2) Safety. If I openly in the chat said "Hey, I"m the medic!", then my saves are the one thing stopping the killer. Boom, deader than deadsauce!
At least, that's how I imagined things turning out. This is my first runthough of the games.

I never got the memo on what to do/not do in the game, first time, remember? that and the main draw for me was the Halloween theme of it all, and I thought there was maybe gonna be some roleplay and actual discussion about who was the killer, rather than pointing and "Oh, he's dead? Okay, whatevs." I'm a little disappointed, to be honest.
But, it's not like it's that big of a deal anyways. It's just a game after all.

@blue: Don't worry, I'm not bummed about it, I'll be sure to add something in the rules for the future so it doesn't happen again.
And usually there would be an audience reaction to deaths like in the early cycles of this round, but lately people haven't been posting them so there isn't anything to act in character about.
