Have you ever heard this phrase before? was it a fair criticizm? how did you react?

there are heaps of people who assume just because you play videogames you "have no life" and are some basment dwelling cave monster or mabye that isnt the case as much now

Heard it a whole lot, mainly from bullies or you know, sports people. Sometimes from my parents as well actually.

Its just annoying, but it can be a bit funny at times.

I have heard it from an ex-friend of mine. She said that I would amount to nothing and she would own me in the next chemistry exam. Next chemistry exam rolls around and I get an 88%. She gets 38% and has to resit. Who's the loser now?

My best friend told me that after she stopped talking to me for no reason. Apparently she thought I was being mean about her to my friends behind her back. Little did she know, the only things I'd ever mentioned was that it was a shame she had a boyfriend because a) she hadn't got time to hang out with us and b) I missed her.

If people were talking behind my back like that I wouldn't take it that harshly. I would have been chuffed my friends actually cared!

Well, I think I've heard it shouted in my direction once. Can't remember the reason, but I always was the gamer-kid at school. And a good come back to it was (and still is) "who the hell do you think you are telling someone to get a life?"

I was bullied as a child. Then I hit puberty...and grew...and got strong...and remembered old grudges.

I'm sure it has been said to me before.
I tend to tune out the drone of morons though, so I don't really remember their insults.

Also, people stopped picking on me when I grew about a head above them, and that was nearly ten years ago. I have a pretty terrible memory too, so I can't really remember the bullying I got in primary school. I do know half of them are drug dealers now.

Ive been told to get a life - My response was a string of constructive criticisms of his "Life", and how mine was infinitely better. If its any consolation, hed insisted on this several times, so i wasnt jumping the gun.
