In short: No thanks, Ill express myself how I wish.northeast rower said:If you're going to make an argument, swearing gratuitously and calling the developer a "dumbass pussy" and an audience "dumbass shooter fans" (so they have a different taste in genre than you, so what?) is not the best way to make that argument. There may have been some genuinely good stuff in that post, but I skipped over most of it because you made you argument in an immature way.
I dont know if you managed to cotton on to it in that post, but Im not best pleased with Bioware as of lately. Since I SPEND MY MONEY on their games, I figure that allows me to express myself...... Pretty much however I want to when it comes to my opinions of them and their games. It would be a pretty awful gaming discussion if people werent allowed to express their own views on games and developers strongly.
The most annoying thing is, you were half way at the appopriate response already: gloss over it.
Take a leaf out of my book. Someone expresses themselves in a way that I dislike, or about a subject I dont like, I wont try and chastise them immaturely like I actually have a right to police peoples own thoughts, Ill just let them get on with it.
Like I said, Bioware were pussies. I, like you, was aware that they even had the content there to be used, but didnt.
I used to think they had good reasons, but clearly they or the suits who give the ok decided that allowing homosexual romances in the game wasnt a good idea. It might offend those dumbass shooter fans I talked about earlier. You know, the ones who only like twitch gameplay and online deathmatch while slinging homophobic taunts all the time.
Whoops! Was that too much of a genuine opinion? Ah crap, what am I like?
"Romance" is a big word for all of the so called "romances" in ME2. Its basically "I like you", "Do you like me?" "Are you sure you want to do this?" "Okay, lets do it".Nimcha said:'Romance' is a big word, all you can do is have dinner and she can do some suggestive dancing in your cabin![]()
I wouldnt mind, but as much as I enjoyed the romance I picked in ME1, it followed the same formula (albeit much, much better in terms of fleshing it out and progressing it alongside the story). Maybe with ME3 they can actually have the balls to try something different, especially since they have some romances that have been continued all the way to the final game that need concluding, and Im pretty sure many have said they want it done properly, and not just a five minute cameo.
