If this was actually a full blown character it would be awesome, but seeing how it's purley cosmetic I'm not seeing what the big deal is.

For those who are confused, it seems that she will just be a free reskin.

She will probably work like the Black hand skin, you can play through the game as the black hand. Nothing changes except for the skin you see in actual gameplay, your still Talion in the cutscenes and story. They might have added in some new voiced lines for her but she will probably just use Talion's voice.

I think it's pretty cool, nice of them to make this a free DLC too.

You had me at "free DLC". Sure, it could be better I guess but asking for more out of free and optional content to an already great game (albeit with an humdrum plot and a seriously lacking end boss) seems unwarranted to me. The skin looks cool and they gave her a backstory so maybe we'll get to see more of the character in a future installment of the game. I'd be even more pleased if they reworked the final boss for free or added some nifty little story moments in there but I'm pleased anyway.

Some free DLC? For all platforms? That's a-okay in my book, Monolith.

Now where's the free DLC that makes the game not stupidly easy?

It's easy even before you get any character upgrades, so don't start with that. I don't know of any other stealth game where you can sprint at an enemy in broad daylight from the front and perform a "stealth" kill that sends all the armed burly 280 pound orc witnesses fleeing in gibbering terror without calling for help.

Speaking as a non-white woman, it sure as hell is a step in the right direction. It's true though, it's a sign how dire the problem is, that this gets so much attention. But spend enough time in the desert and you're grateful even for rainwater.

Its not even rainwater. There were plenty of white women around in gaming, but all that's happening is the industry focusing only on white women. Even though white women were a focus of the industry for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
I'm all for character-creators in next-to-everything to allow a maximum of customization, but... really? I don't think we've been playing the same kinda games, because I've yet to see the industries Focus be on anything other then brown-haired chizeled white dudes. And those are boring. What little leading ladies we have, white though they may be, are beacons of diversity purely by virtue of sticking out of the mire, however little.
(Then again I the further I can stay away from my own ethnicity the better, so I'm less keen on my particular niche being filled)

Thats completely ass backwards, gamers generally don't care if a character lacks huge bouncy cleavage but the SJWs soon start whining when one does have massive bouncy cleavage.
Well, unless you're concerned with reality, that is. I mean, people bitched about Lara Croft's breast reduction, and that one game where the cover art changed the midriff, but sure. Gamers don't care. It's the SJWs who are whining about these things. That are completely antithetical to being an "SJW." Because ponies.
One of those is changing a beloved and iconic character, the other is a midriff not breasts and the reason they where upset is the developer got coerced into changing it.
Where were the beloved character fans when Laras breasts were increasing with every game in both size and attention of animators? If anything, this latest game featuring young Lara is actually correct portrayal of character as it was when she was young, as her breast size has increase as time went on.

BULLSHIT!

Yes, I just called bullshit on your exaggerated statement
If we assume that first game had C-size breasts, by the time of Underworld her breasts should have been at size J
What changed from game to game was graphical improvement that allowed to model her better (thus making her more "curvy")

Also, by "young" do you mean those childhood episodes in 3rd game (I think it was in 3rd)?
I'm pretty sure she grew up since then (and usually breasts grow to certain extent too).

P.S.Just to point it out- I'm not fan of TombRaider or Lara herself. I just like to argue :)

Oh my God, a woman. And one that isn't flaunting massive bouncy cleavage. The SJWs have won, this game is ruined.
Said no one outside of RoK ever.

OT: Although I would almost rather have had this be a bit more fleshed out (say a modified version of the campaign with different cutscenes/ending/dialog/ect.) and paid $5-$15 for it, I'm not gonna complain about free. One more reason I need to get around to picking up SoM.

Variety is the spice of death, so I though this was just a fun addition when I realized I could pick her as a skin in SP. Even took this screenshot, just for fun, and use it as my current desktop background.

It may just be a reskin, but the model is well detailed and a welcome change after looking at Talion murdering orcs many hours.
