About half an hour after Micah had left, true to Ebony's word, the front door opened to reveal her and Ben. "Hey," Jenna said with a smile. "How's Michelle?"
"She's broken her left arm and leg, so she won't be around for a while," Ebony answered for Ben. "I also got word from your dad; he's due in at the airport tomorrow about midday, so we're both going out to the airport to meet him as soon as he walks out the gate. Do you want to come?"
"Actually, I might have plans. There's a party of some sort happening within a few days; I need to get word from someone, maybe Tori or Lyla, as to the details." As she spoke, Jenna quickly put the glasses she and Micah had used in the dishwasher to minimize the chance of any awkward questions.
"Right. 'Scuse me, all. No doubt I've missed a lot online," Ben said as he hurried upstairs to his room and computer. Jenna started looking through the pantry for something to cook for dinner. "You don't mind if I cook tonight, Mum? You look rushed off your feet."
"Go right ahead, Jen."

About twenty minutes later, Jenna had whipped up a stir-fry, and everyone was digging in.
