Holy Snap I didn't think I would make it cause I don't know many of you guys.

Sweetness.
Hey you had a great sheet, it was long and you will be the only black guy! Glad to have you! And I cant just let in people I know.
I know I know, still I'm quite excited. as for the only Black guy, reminds me of life anyway so it'll be perfect. And thank you. I had the image of my character for a while with nowhere to put him.
Well its good you found somewhere to put him!

I'm guessing you haven't RP'd before?

No no I have. Just not here. Also I guess I might as well say since you didn't catch it. It's me BigDragun987, if you don't recognize my name I did Avatar Adventures for a little while as The Time Dragon. I just changed my name.

Also don't worry. I saw and read what you were talking about earlier on in the thread about the people who did Avatar Adventures at one point. I know the distinction between severe fiction and this type of style which is based much more on real methods and interactions between young adults.

The Game of Life!
[/HEADING]

Victoria Lawson yawned as she pulled herself out of her bed, Her clock read 10:43, rubbing her cheek, which was bruised and scratched; she slowly lumbered out of her room. Dragging her feet down the stairs, she heard the familiar sound of the news, her father started every morning with the local news,

Code:
An unusual heat wave has hit, get your sunscreen and water bottles, because today is going to be a hot one! More on the weather later in the news.
Tori sat down beside her father who was eating a grapefruit, she watched the news for a couple of moments in silence. The relationship between her and her father had been a bit tense ever since she began dating Rick, and the tension had increased ten-fold after her fight a few nights ago. Tori sighed and lumbered back up the stairs, dragging her feet on every steep, she rubbed her eyes in an attempt to wake herself. She entered her room and 20 minutes later emerged once more, she wore a graphic, brightly coloured t-shirt, skinny jeans and sunglasses with a thick red frame, her blonde, shoulder length hair was done in a tight pony tail. She trotted down the stairs, grabbing her keys she opened the door,

"I\m going out! Bye!" she called to no one in particular, she slammed the door shut and headed for her car, "Gah It's so nice, I will go for a quick walk, then call... someone to see if anything is going on."

She set off down the road, taking in the sun and the heat; she casually strolled through the town. It wasn't much of a town, average size and population, certainly lacking the hustle and bustle of a huge, sprawling city, but it was also far from rural. She passed a few people, no one that she knew particularly, but she smiled and waved nonetheless. Tori quite liked the town she grew up in, sure living in L.A. or New York is always a dream for people, but it was a good town. There was a good amount of friends to hang out with, it was in close proximity to larger towns with career and college opportunities, and was a great town to grow up in, with good communities and party locations. Ya, Tori was pretty happy about that aspect of her life, but she had other problems, namely her abusive, and all around asshole of a boyfriend Rick. In the past, even thinking about him had brought the happy girl to tears, but the past few days after the party she had gained a lot of confidence regarding her relationship.

She sighed and sat down on a bench, the hot sun bore down on her and she admired the tan she had already gotten from the short amount of summer.

Hopefully something cool happens today...

Having waited up longer and slept less than usual since the party at Jon's, Jenna had begun to lose sleep over the past three days. She got up at 7:30 when she was called, not even bothering to turn her phone on as she normally did in the mornings. Three days and still not a word from Nate; not one single text, phone call or email. Jenna had originally given him as much time as she needed, but she had expected him to get back to her sooner rather than later.

Jenna ate breakfast halfheartedly, took double her regular time in the bathroom to her younger brother Benjamin's annoyance, and flopped back down on her bed, restless but with nothing to do. She didn't like how she felt: a mix of loneliness, despair and occasionally the desire to cry, although she could never bring herself to do it.

In an attempt to distract herself from her problems, she switched her phone on; no messages, not even one from Lyla, Tori or anyone else she knew. She hit the power switch on her radio as a further distraction, and just lay on her bed with the music as company.

A few hours later, Benjamin and Ebony, his and Jenna's mother, had gone out. A news bulletin went on the air as Jenna lay awake, eyes closed, feeling as though she had fallen asleep inside somehow.
"You're listening to the eleven-o-clock news. I'm Russell Davidson, and here are today's top stories..." Jenna lay face-down on her bed, unmoving until the voice changed to music: In These Arms by Bon Jovi. She rolled over onto her back to stare at the ceiling and, without meaning to, started singing along to the cool, charming voice she knew well.

As she and the band reached the final, heart-rending chorus, the metaphoric last thread finally snapped, and the tears started to flow from Jenna's eyes.

Lyla had slept in late into the afternoon. The only reason she woke up was because she heard the front door open. She got out of bed and immediately walked to the stairs. She saw her mother walk in, carrying luggage and talking on her cellphone. Lyla hadn't been expecting her to come back home and she couldn't help but be a little excited.

"Hi! I thought you weren't coming back till next week?" No response. "Hellooooo?!" Once again, no response. "Mom!" Her mother finally looked up. "Hi honey. Sorry, I didn't see you there."

"Yeah... I noticed. Anyways, I wasn't expecting you until next week. What happened?" "Well I wanted to come home for your birthday." Lyla looked at her mother and gave her a look of disbelief. "Mom.. my birthday was months ago.."

"Oops. Sorry I missed it dear. Now come downstairs and tell me what you've been up to." Her mother walked into the kitchen and Lyla walked back to her bedroom. Half an hour later she walked out of her room, wearing a pink cami underneath a yellow one, black short shorts, flip flops, and her trademark multi-colored bracelets.

She walked down to the kitchen, where her mother was trying to make a cup of coffee. Lyla leaned against the island in the kitchen and watched.

"So what have you been up to?" "Nothing much. I went to a party few days ago and got into a fight. Some girl slapped me and.." Her mother wasn't paying attention. She was just nodding and saying "Uh-huh, uh-huh".

"Never mind", Lyla said in an irritated voice. "Just.. Never mind."

It was their second day in this city and Josh still didn't know anybody. Since the move he had been too busy to ever consider going out and socializing and even if he did, where would he go? A respite from the monotony of moving work was interrupted by his addiction to nicotine. As he and his mother puffed on the cigarettes, they looked at the pack of smokes and saw that they were running out, "Looks like you're making the run this time," his mother said with a grin. She knew that he wanted to get out and it looked like a beautiful day to explore the city. She went to hand him the keys, but he raised his hands in protest, "Mom, there is no way in hell I'm taking the Lexus out, I'm gonna stick out already, don't need to show off too much to start with."

He began to walk along the sidewalk, keeping an eye out for any signs of a convenience store. After about 15 minutes of walking, he had to admit he was lost, "So much for convenience!" he exclaimed, louder than he had expected. He startled a girl dressed in a loud top, and skinny jeans sitting on a bench near where he was walking. He immediately tried to repair the damage, "Oh I'm sorry," he started, "I'm just looking for a convenience store and can't seem to find one anywhere."

He caught himself again, cursing his blatant idiocy, "And I haven't even introduced myself yet," he stuck out his hand, "My name's Joshua Richardson, I just moved here not two days ago and you are?" He hoped that his terrible awkward charm would be enough to get directions to the store.

The alarm blared loudly as Drake groaned tossing and turning around in bed a few times. He opened his eyes as the radio station on high blast set a great ringing in his ears. Looking over at the clock it read 11:00 A.M. Leaning up in his bed he continued to make inaudible sounds as he finally swung himself over and out of bed standing beside it. Moving over to his window he reaching for the blinds he opened them up as an aggressively large amount of sunlight made it's way to his eyesight, making him raise his hands almost in defense. "Ack Shit! Looks like it toasty outside." With a heavy sigh he turned around, "Let me get this medicine down my throat." He slowly shuffled his way over towards his kitchen, it only taking him a few seconds in his one bedroom apartment.

The flooring changed from carpet to tile as he reached the fridge and opened it to reveal empty space, Just like the rest of his apartment. The emptiness of his living space was something that bothered him many times. He had a television and some things hung on the wall but if didn't shake the feeling that waking up in this place sometimes gave him. Before thinking too long he shook the feeling and went back into his room. Quickly tossing on some dark blue jeans that went loose around his waist and his black belt. He put on his black and red shoes but due to the heat he could feel radiating from his window. He decided to wear a black A-shirt and he was ready to go.

Taking special care to place both his antipsychotic pills in his back pocket he grabbed his mp3 player and headed out the door. The heat beat down on him slightly but he grew accustomed to it after a few steps. His main goal right now was to get to the convenience store nearby and grab a quick orange juice and one of their breakfast sandwiches. He wiped a bit of sweat from his brow as he began a steady jog starting his morning run to the store.

Tori pulled her sunglasses off of her eyes and on to her forehead, revealing her blue eyes which she used to check out the new guy. She smiled as she scanned from his face down to his feet, he was good looking and dressed very nicely,

"I'm Victoria Lawson, nice to meet you Josh." she chuckled, thinking of how oblivious he was to the people around him, "You from a big city or something Josh? You don't give off much of a small town vibe."

She stood up and put her glasses back on,

"As for the convenience store, I can help you with that, but what can you do for me?" she smiled cheekily at him, "Follow me."

Note: Jenna's not going to be doing anything any time soon unless someone helps her out, gets her mind off Nate for a while.

Micah woke up at 5:00am. He took a nice, long, hot shower and shaved while in it. After he had stepped out and wrapped a towel around his shoulders. He turned on his laptop computer sitting on his desk, and waited for it to reach the desktop screen.

I really need to upgrade to Windows 7 He thought to himself as he opened his web browser. He looked down at the date and time, and remembered something... He didn't have to work today. In fact, he didn't have to work all week. I could've slept in... Oh well.

Micah sat down on his bed as he got dressed, and then felt something warm and furry lean against his back. His puppy, Buddy, was awake and wanted to say good morning.

"Hey pup..." Micah greeted the yellow lab-mix. "Wanna go for a walk? I'm gonna take you for a walk when I get my clothes on."

The puppy lifted its ears happily, as if it understood, and wagged his tail. Micah got dressed in a pair of cutoff jeans, with a lightweight, yellow, graphic T-shirt. He shook his hair dry, letting it curl naturally and grabbed the leash, hooking it onto Buddy's collar. It was about 6:10am when he started on the jog with the dog. He stopped by the cafe he worked at, to say hello and to get himself an iced coffee.

He walked more leisurely on the way home, as Buddy searched for a place to use the bathroom, and Micah sipped on his coffee. It was about 6:40am when he got back home to his apartment, and his kit, Sable, was skittering about waiting to be fed.

"Alright guys.. I'll feed you now. Then I can feed myself." Micah smiled and poured the puppy and ferret food into their respective bowls. "There... Eat up, you little gluttons."

After a breakfast of bacon, eggs, and hash-browns, Micah decided to peruse the Internet for a little while. Once the clock hit 11:00am, Micah decided to phone up some of his friends. His mind immediately went to Jenna. She and Nate had just gone through... something... and she probably needed some cheering up.

"Call Jenna." Micah said to his cellphone as it auto-dialed her number. He waited for her to pick up as it rung.

Jenna's phone buzzed and fell off the bedside table. She stopped crying instantly, turned the radio off and rushed to pick the phone up. She fumbled it a few times in her haste, but got it securely in one hand and at her ear. "H-Hello?" she said, sniffling slightly.

"Jenna. It's Micah." Micah said to her. "How are you, sweetie? I haven't heard from you in a few days... You alright?"

Micah could hear a slight trembling in her voice as she spoke... She must have been crying, or close to it.

"Oh... hey, Micah," Jenna said, disappointment clear in her voice. "I'm not doing so well, actually. Ever since the party at Jon's place I've been losing sleep, getting the odd headache and such." She paused to get some hair out of her face, tucking it behind an ear.

"On a somewhat related topic, can I trust you with a secret?" she asked.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Well, I hope you feel better, sweetie." Micah tried to comfort her. She asked him if he could keep a secret, and he knew this would be a biggie. "Of course you can trust me, Jenna. I swear that I won't tell a soul, unless given express consent by you. Spill it, girl."

"Okay. I guess I can tell you," Jenna said, sniffing again. "For a long time, I've never considered getting into the whole relationships thing. A while back I decided to see what would happen if... if I could find that special someone for me. Then I took a closer look at some of the guys I knew 'round school." Her voice became stronger as she told Micah everything.

"I started finding out more about them, their families and suchlike, and I got a better picture as to what each of them was like. None of them seemed to be right, and I kept my findings to myself, continuing down a list I'd made."

She paused to wipe away a renegade tear. "Then I started looking at Nate Stillman, someone I'd overlooked because he's a close friend. And I knew, instantly, that he was near perfect. I developed a crush on him within the week. The two things keeping me away from him was my lack of relationship experience, and the fact that he was dating that cheerleader, Jessica. I knew he wouldn't be interested in me while that blonde body was attached to his arm for the entire year."

"Then came the day of the party. Something had happened between Nate and Jessica, and she and some of her friends crashed the party. Jessica barged through the house, found Nate and got into a fight with him. I eavesdropped and overheard everything. Jessica left soon after, and Nate looked a little shaken up. I tried to console him, tell him everything would be fine, and eventually I told him how I feel."

Jenna's voice started shaking softly. "H-He said he needed time, to - to think about it, and it's been three days. I've had no messages from him, so now I don't know if he's gonna get back to me at all." Another teardrop rolled down her face, but she made no attempt to stop it. "Do you know if you can do something to help?"

"There's not much I can do about Nate, Jenna..." Micah admitted. "..Short of talking to him myself, but I haven't heard from him since the party, either... Man, it sucks that I couldn't make it."

Micah realized that Jenna needed to stop thinking about Nate, or else she'd worry too much and would be a wreck.

"Hey. I've got some time off of work." Micah said to her. "You want to hang out? It's been a while since we've done anything. It'll be fun, what do you say?"

"Ummm... sure, I guess. I've got plenty of time to spare," Jenna admitted. "Do you want to meet up somewhere in particular?" She got up and started putting a small bag of stuff together.

"How about I come pick you up? We should go out for lunch." Micah suggested. "If you want, I could call up Tori and Lyla and ask if they want to come along, too. After that, we could go do something... It's a nice day. Anything in particular you want to do? Anywhere you want to go?"
