Wow...the audacity of that tactic just strains credulity. But damn if it doesn't provide proper motivation.
Working hard and wondering to yourself whether it's worth it only to find out that because you kept going when it was rough gave others the power to do the same, who also then give you even more support to keep going.
This is the kind of feedback loop we should all strive for.

Slapped a leftover sata ssd that I wasn't using for anything into my old phat PS3 on a whim. Not the biggest difference, but menus are a bit snappier and loading times about 20-30% shorter. Seems to have also made the console ever so slightly quieter. Also, 500 gigs instead of 60.
Removing the drive caddy screws is a pain tho, as they're made of butter. Tip: needle nose pliers.
