This kind of stuff always happens to me. One time I forgot that I had already taken a step with one foot and took another with the same foot and fell down the stairs.
Be sure to alert me the next time this happens. Wherever you are, I will come and watch.

I think we've all had a time when we take out our phone/watch, look at it, and put it away. And then realised we didn't look at the time.

I was talking a shower the other day and I forgot if I had washed my hair, maybe just after I did, so I washed my hair again. Something like this ever happen to you. Ever look at your warch and instantly forget the time?
I actually do both of those things. Showering is probably the time of my deepest thought (because really what else is there to do in the shower to pass the time mentally?). And there are occasions where I get so lost in thought and so into my typical shower rhythm that I forget if I washed my hair yet.

I also very oftentimes look at a clock or even ask someone "what time is it" and then hear the answer but immediately start thinking about something else only to forget what the person or the timekeeping instrument told me.

I'm getting better, but I used to be pretty awful with street names. Part of the problem was that I'd rarely bother to look at the signs while driving.

Thank fuck. I thought it was just me. I've done the whole washing my hair thing and then forgetting about it and then doing it again.

Names. As some have already said, I am also horrible at remembering names.

It's very awkward 90% of the time. Usually it happens when I meet new people at parties, and with my luck I also often bump into them at Uni or someplace and they'll be like: "Hey you, remember me?". "Sure, I'll say" with no clue.

Another thing is that I bring home stuff from work. When I was restocking supplies in the grocery department, I had a phone I took home, and now I sometimes bring back shopping carts into the store. To do that, I need a special key to unlock the carts, and that key is also prone to be taken home with me.

My employers always makes fun of me for that.

Not really instanstly forgetting stuff but most dramtically the year were in, my girlfreinds name... My name once.
Most traumatic instant forgetting would be short periods of time so I just got three snapshots of one or two seconds.

Snapshot 1: Me on stairs to my room holding a biscuit. ^_^
Snapshot 2: Me suddenly in my room with biscuit. (o_O)
Snapshot 3: Me on stairs again no biscuit (;_;)

No one knows the intensity of confusion and suffering when I never saw the biscuit I had been looking forward to ever again.

I've done that a few times, washing my hair twice with the shampoo. When I realize I'm washing it for the second time I feel like such a damn idiot, even though I'm alone.

Things I instantly forget... well, I forget. >.>

Place glasses down on bedside cabinet.

2 minutes later: WHERE THE HELL ARE MY GLASSES!?
I've done that soooo many times. I put my glasses off to the side when I'm on the computer and I've flipped out because I couldn't find them. While they're sitting there on top of the CPU RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.

I'm not very good with names. Someone will tell me their name and literally three seconds later I will turn back and say "Sorry, I forgot your name. Heh...." I lot of people have said I may have short term memory loss because of this but, I don't.
either that or in math classes, if i haven't heard it before it will be gone by the time i leave said class

When someone tells me something that they've introduced as being "Very important". I usually forget that rather quickly.
Ah, same here. If it's important, I really have to try hard to remember it. Useless things like where things are in games, on the other hand, pop into my head as soon as I need them.
