Would lions make good pets for giants? I mean, lions wouldn't be good pets for normal humans because they are big and scary, but if you were much bigger than they were, could you domesticate them like normal cats?
I'm not sure. Size isn't everything (supposedly), there are species and races that have evolved through selective breeding to be less wild than others. You can have placid, obedient dogs that are way bigger than foxes or wolves, yet the latter are more difficult to tame, domesticate and coexist with.

This, humans have been domesticating the housecat for 1000s of years, they've pretty much evolved to live with us.

That said, I have seen a video of a lion or a mountain lion that was raised as a cub by someone reunite with them, and they can be pretty gentle and affectionate as well.

If a prisoner with a life sentence dies in prison for whatever reason and is resuscitated, does that count as having served their sentence?
As clever a defense as that might sound, the fact that the person would still be actually alive, no. A life sentence means you're ass is in prison until any trace or semblance of life leaves your body, and you're beyond resuscitation.

It's faster and easier to say 'world wide web' than 'www'
And both are equally unnecessary today. I think the only people who preface a web address with "www" are the elderly who end text messages with their name as if the recipient might not know who they came from.

At some point, I saw an ad which said "dub dub dub" for that.
That guy writes the Red Hot Chili Peppers' songs now.

(For clarity: this is a joke about how often Anthony Kiedis just makes noises to flesh out a song that otherwise does not have sufficient words.)

We've been experiencing some pretty crazy thunderstorms lately. Yeah, can't really blame our ancestors for thinking the gods lived in the sky.

Always crazy when I see someone that used to post on the Escapist on Youtube or Reddit or something. With something like a billion users on reddit, what are even the chances that the one I see is an ex-regular of the Escapist.

I want to know how different our cultures would have been if we had had two moons. What effect it would have had on profound cultural, philosophical, mystical, artistic things such as dualism, mythologies, relation to space, etc.

Also I would have really wanted to live on a twin planets system, with both being inhabitable. Or at least in a solar system with more than one inhabitable planet.

Well, the moon controls the tides, change that and all sorts of things change.

Also, the apparent size of the moon is much the same as the apparent size of the sun (when viewed from the Earth), by total coincidence, which has affected things.

I love how on Reddit, if I spend 10 minutes making a comparison image showing that a character is cuter in the manga than the anime I get 600+ upvotes, but if I spend 3 hours writing 1200 words describing in detail why the pacing of a show works to its detriment I get downvoted to oblivion.

Wait no, what's the opposite of love?

So, there's that pick-up line (at least in pop culture) that goes "Did it hurt when you feel from heaven?".

According to the Bible, didn't the fallen angels become demons? So...

Y'know what the world needs now? Pat from SNL, the androgynous person who's gender is never revealed while constantly finding "themself" in awkward gender-specific situations. Not sure it'd fly nowadays; probably be cancelled within minutes of airing, but I do think it'd be worth it. Take a bit of the piss out of the "pronoun confusion" warriors. I mean, be who you wanna be, but don't act like it's not genuinely perplexing sometimes to those who've no ill intent, bias, or prejudice.

Aaaaah mysteries mysteries mysteries, where are you.

We're a race of explorer, we're like ants, we need new grounds to go feel lost and trace a novel path. But earth is small, and the mysteries of the universe get pushed further out of reach from the non specialists, and more ground is mapped in all domains. So, we artificially build new reachable mysteries. Our neighbors are part of a vast conspiracy to investigate adventurously. Our fictions and our gamesprovide additional universes to explore. We erase scientific findings to replace them with armchair pseudoscience which only benefit is to give us profanes an active role in research. We "do your own !", with the implicit hope of reaching our own novel findings instead of treading used paths. And thankfully, in a way, we're still facing this confusing death. We need room, that is, un-mapped parts of the room.

But without cheating, that is without us cheating, we used to be presented common sense mysteries which did bring a bit of oxygen in our shrinking world. We used to know much less, and speculate more. More importantly, we used to see less, less farther, less often. UFOs and Nessie need rare and blurry cameras (electronic/optical artefacts don't compensate for the real mysterious material shapes that used to be "captured" on film). Secrets valleys and undiscovered lands don't survive satellites. Our destroyed, disarmed forests hide no more witches or elves. No more tomb majestic, mysterious and exotic enough to curse their archeologists.

But possibly worse than all that, a recurring childhood nostalgia, triggering these considerations over and over again... No more Bermuda Triangle. It hasn't even been solved materially, we haven't found the flying saucer, magic portal, cunning pirates or angry kraken lurking in it, and hey, I'd even take that methane bubbles explanation... but it's even worse. It's statistically debunked, we don't hear about it anymore because... it does not "happen". It's neither an avoided cursed place, not an ongoing source of mysterious disappearances. It's not even a joke anymore, it's left the cultural landscape. It ceased to be a thing. No one care. Like in a child's room, corner shadow in which we could play pretend seeing it has been lit, not even on purpose, and there's nothing to see or speculate about.

Yay knowledge. Progress. But.. ignorance is so romantic. The sleep of reason produces monsters, but these monsters had something marvellous and poetic to them, that the current ones (be them real ones, or political conspiracy fantasies) will forever lack.
