Firefly, obviously, but one that I really loved that ended up getting canceled was Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. That was such a great show, but it was too smart for people.
No it was to smart for most Americans. I am not trying to offend anyone. I know there are clever Americans out there but if I remember correctly it did quite well in Europe.

Heroes. Although it fell apart towards the end, I would have liked a proper conclusion.
Same, it could have been so good. Also Scrubs, I'm sad that's finished. Such a happy show. I wish Game of Thrones would continue forever, but alas, it has an ending. I really hope Top Gear is continued to be brodcast for as long as the presenters are alive. Oh and I miss Unforgotten Realms on the Escapist. Such sillieness.

The most consistently funny show I've ever seen. Costs almost nothing to produce outside the actors' salary and the cost of the props.
I have some good news, assuming you liked the American version: there's a new show with the same idea and the same cast, called Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza airing on Game Show Network.

Stargate Atlantis. SG-1 was admittedly aged, but Atlantis seemed to be getting better.
I'm glad Universe was canceled though. I didn't like it and now maybe there will be another new one?

Oh, and Dr Horrible's sing along blog, so I guess that's everything Joss Whedon ever worked on.

Lie to Me and Korgoth of Barbaria. The first one because it was pretty much House but about telling people's lies, and the second because it was an awesome pilot episode to an adult cartoon series about violence, action, violence, gore, violence and more violence, well written and created by some of the people behind two of my favourite children's cartoons, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Spongebob Squarepants. And for whatever reason, it never took off, despite the following it had when the pilot got circulated through various websites.

Star Trek Enterprise: Too much of a sudden ending, I really wanted to learn more about the Pre-TOS Star Trek world and how the Federation came to light.

Stargate Universe: I don't care what anyone says, I loved the thing. I loved all Stargate, actually, but Universe was actually my favorite.

Jericho: Post-nuclear America, a rouge faction caused a massive terrorist attack that killed millions, world in a state of shock and panic, and civil war breaks out between states over leaders and who were the attackers... and poof, series over. Literally, the episode civil war breaks out with fighters shooting each other down and the military breaking down is the final episode. Done, over. What the hell.

V (2009): No explination, I am seriously saddened in you, TV viewers. You want crap like The Jersery Shore to go on and on about some no buddy, but an actually well done Sci-Fi program is canceled two series in.

See, this is why I hate the average TV viewer. Because actually GOOD shows are canceled early, hell the Sci-Fi genre itself is in serious danger lately because of this crap, and people will give shows like "16 and Pregnant" and "Kim Kardasian" such massive viewers. You know why you scoff when you hear another crappy program coming on such as "Farmer Wants a Wife" and the like? Because you allow it by giving the ratings to crap shows, instead of for a shower demanding to actually have a plot. No, not all these programs I listed had the best plot, but at least it tried to split away from the stuff we have now.

Now excuse me while I go try and find the DVD sets of Firefly at my local store and see it for myself, and then join in the tears of another series lost to something as horrible as "16 and Pregnant."

I miss Lost. It was good that they had a definitive limit to keep the pace of the show up, but I do miss not looking forward to it.

Also, last season of Chuck is coming up next. SAD FACE.

(I guess neither count as cancelled, but Woodsey don't play by no rulez.)

Twin Peaks was a brilliant show that was canned before its time. If they hadn't pulled the plug before the second season even started and gave Lynch some incentive to keep things interesting, then that show could have gone a long ways.

Runner up goes to Six Feet Under. Excellent show. And Spaced. DEFINITELY Spaced. Also Jack of All Trades, and since I brought up Bruce Campbell, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. was pretty interesting as well...

I'll stop now.

Wait, Chuck is ending? Is it a story reason (I don't have cable, so I can't be up to date), because it was just renewed a few weeks ago. It's always on the bubble, but it consistently rates high enough to be brought back.
