ok the ULTIMATE epic forshadowing sign that a game could possibly have...
-The game comes present with an 'Achevement' which is olny unlocked by dieing a great deal of times. (example Too Human)
on an unrelated note; Why has nobody menchend Too Human before me? the game practicly seemed to go wrong from the start! i mean really you could put any part of two human into a "How not to design a GAME" speech.

I think I might have a nice example of a sign that a game's gone HORRIBLY WRONG.

When a sorceress from the future manages to throw herself back in time to possess another sorceress in the present to try to get a stronger sorceress in the present freed to possess THAT sorceress who had played in some world-destroying shenanigans back in the past and ended up in a space-prison for said shenanigans and worse still is that this future sorceress is magically to blame for current shenanigans even though she hasn't been referred to a single time throughout the game until Present Sorceress A is freed from Future Sorceress' grasp and namedrops the Future Sorceress, who is now possessing Present Sorceress C who's been around the whole time but was neither a sorceress before nor any manner a threat but apparently had latent power or some-such has suddenly become a sorceress out of the blue because whatisthisIdon'tevenwhyisthewhowhat--

Oh, Aura Guardian, how I wuv our in-house Ninty fanboy. You may deny it, but y'are. However, I do believe there are games where the focus is appropriate. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, for example, gave its SP little to no coverage. However, MW2 had not only a ridiculously good SP in the previous game (CoD4, that is) it gave its SP the lion's share of the media. I haven't forgiven it.

When a game introduces "new", "improved" or "super" enemies who are just re-skins of the old ones.

1) When the story in the second half of the game goes in a completely different direction (Indigo Prophecy or Fahrenheit I am looking at you!)

2)When the game has a glitch that has the essential NPC commit suicide on spikes and theres nothing you can do but pray to stop it (Prince of Persia: Sands of Time I am looking at you!)

3) When enemies keep spaming unblockable moves (exploding Shirikan and rocket launching ninjas from Ninja Gaidan I AM LOOKING AT YOU!!!!)

literally i was playing a game of l4d2 earlier..and just wow. i literally watched with my eyes as they SHOT out of the bathroom, easily 100 of them literally, and a charger and jockey followed suit and not even 15 seconds later a tank comes out of the mens room super pissed off about not having toilet paper or something, he took out all three of us within 10 seconds
That....is hilarious. Why were 100 infected and 3 bosses sharing a bathroom?
you know, was wondering the same thing the whole time they were being launched out of that bathroom like a freaking catapult, but by that time i was being swarmed and over run and dying, so i didn't care to ask them

im sure they were playin an illegal game of dice or something in there, and the tank lost

overall though, that was the worst ive experienced from that game thus far, in which the round after that (since we obviously were raped their and went back to the last checkpoint) we made it through 2 sessions of tankness and hordes, so the AI must have been super pissed earlier, thats the only explanation

or skynet was testing us

my rage for the past 3 days has been Heart Gold, for the fact of the legendary beasts running around the land, 2 hp between them, both had a stat on them (they where froze if you must know) and i couldent catch them! but i finaly got them yesterday, so i think my rage blackouts will end.
I've been having this. But I've only got Entei down that low. Somehow it's asleep and still manages to run away from me. That and I can't find a Pokeball good enough to catch it.

Also, something that pissed me off with Guitar Hero: World Tour was this strange failing lag. I would be down in the red and be about to fail but I'd hit a note and still fail. It would say I hit the note, but still fails me anyway. That's a good sign that something is wrong.
Try getting some Dusk Balls and hunt for them at night with a sudowoodo in your party, or gasley (Mean look for the later, Block for the former) and have at it, but trust me, its hard...
Thanks. I didn't think of using Dusk Balls. I was gonna try and get some Premier Balls but had no idea how.

The ability to get to the point in a game where you can't go on because you didn't find something on a previous level.

It's my only big fault with Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

When someone mentions the words "The Chosen One"...

That or around the 5th escort quest...
ahh... Now where did I leave The Bards Tale?

OT: After abit too much WoW the last few years, I must say any game involving grinding. I'm so goddamn sick of it, there should be a law or something...

When a console game has online, but no split screen. I hate playing console games online. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I play consoles to play with my god damn friends.
This. I abhor games that do that.

I have never heard of this before. They really have PC games that are split screen? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of in a game on PC.
Yea, Kane & Lynch, it has Co-op, then asks you to plug in an Xbox Controller for windows, for the 2nd player. It has split screen, but no network play...

Who said I was denying my Fanboy...ism? But sometimes I want a game that has a good single player and multiplayer. Like Perfect Dark for example.

EDITI can see games like TF2 and the Battlefield series only as multiplayer because, that's where they were focused on. But I remember the First and Second Call of Duty's that had both.
