A Sith Lord using blue lightsabers? He must be one of those weaklings known as Light Sith. And I'm doubting that Lord part. Not one instance of Force Lightning or Force Choke. Not even a Force Push! C'mon, even the Jedi can do that one!

Still, his swordmanship skills redeem him (bad-dum-tish). It is a truely skilled combatant who can fight multiple more skilled opponents and hold his own for so long. The fact he deflected a taser just seals the deal. This guy got room for one more apprentice?

When I read the news title I thought this would be toy related issue (like he went nuts when a toy was out of stock or fighting for the last toy).
Wait, a Sith (ok they never state his side but his action was Sith like) carrying blue lightsabers Who does he thing he is? Asajj Ventress or General Grievous? Sure he was a lunatic but a trained lunatic at that for deflecting one of the tazer I mean force lightning.

A Toys'R'us... and... and what of the younglings?

I keep telling the training lieutenants in our department that all recruits should go though enough force training to at least SEE if they can use the force.

"Darth Canterbury" made me laugh out loud

I don't care about what any of you guys have to say. Anyone that can deflect a taser shot with a lightsaber immediately deserves to be released into the world to create a lightsaber dojo.

What do we know? Maybe he really is a Jedi, and he's just trying to comprehend why the lasers are, in fact, not cutting through every substance except another lightsaber.

America has lightsaber-proof police now? I'm not a fan of the US police, but I have to say, I'm impressed!

This just once again proves that Star Wars, not video games, cause people to move to violence.

Using a light-saber to deflect a tazer is pretty badass and lucky. I expect to see him in a Cracked article soon.

So he force crushed the first Taser to make it so it didn't work then deflected the second. Sweet we actually got a Sith in the making here...

Thankfully, none of the people Canterbury attacked needed medical attention.
Well, clearly. Any lightsaber wound would cauterize itself.

To be fair, trying to follow the ever changing Star Wars continuity can cause just about anyone to go a little batty. For example, how did Anakin get his own freaking apprentice in Clone Wars when he wasn't a full Jedi? And where the hell did she disappear to by Revenge of the Sith? And then he gets another apprentice later on with Starwanker and--

Ngraaaahhh....

WTF...he is using plastic toys and nobody can tackle this man? Those things hurt, sure, but it isn't going to kill you. This isn't a comment on the police using the tazers either, I'm fine with that. It's a comment about the civilians he is attacking doing nothing...

That's because Lucas has no idea what canon means. He plays with the franchise to milk a half penny out of every 'new and improved' re-release. I own epi 4/5/6 on VHS and that'll be the only copies I ever buy since every re-release Lucas does has some new tweek he wants to do, I've even refused to watch the re-releases when they play on TV (drives my wife nuts). South Park did an episode that in my mind sums up everything about Lucas/Speilberg and their re-release of classic cinema. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Hat]

Back to the OP, he's also being charged with theft.... maybe that was for snagging some fresh C-cell batteries for his lightsabre after his midi-chlorians ran out?

Nerdy lightsaber or not, deflecting a taser with anything is completely badass and this man should be lauded as awesome.
