I recruited a Khajiit companion named Kharjo, he's one of Khajiits that wanders around the game's map. You get him after doing a quest for him and I have a question: Where does he show up after you dismiss him from your party? I found the group of Khajiits again, but he wasn't there.

Quick question, does skyrim have a large city?

None of them are big, compared to vivec in morrowind or the imperial city in oblivion ... the ones I have found are villages at most

No not really, they are all the sizes of small towns or smaller.... One of them looks like a wee little fishing village.

I had two left to explore but I wont waste my time now, I was hoping one would be huge so there would be like 10 traders all really close to each other.

Instead I have to instant transmission my ass all over skyrim looking for traders, who all seem to be really broke!

There's no huge cities no (imperial city/Vivec size) the biggest would probably be Windhelm or solitude which both have 4 or 5 traders...

Also, if you're like me and got very annoyed that the game dosen't keep your custom settings (seriously, who uses alt as sprint ??? shift is sprint!) you need to run Skyrim as admin, else windows dosen't keep the settings.

Is their a chapel of Akatosh( besides the one in Solitude) in one of the cities in Skyrim? Because seriously if anyone is going to settle the whole ALduin/Akatosh thing I think I would find it there.

Raldbthar is a horrid place. Horrid, I say!!

It has so much loot in it that you will be crying halfway through as your pockets are bursting. I had to dump so much stuff that I don't think I'll ever get over it. Sigh, and I'm too lazy to go back to my house and back again... And it doesn't help that I killed the dragon and Krosis before I entered

Or maybe I'm too obsessed on selling all the items I come across. Yeah, that could be it.

Does anyone know how to become the Thane of Morthal? The Jarl told me to complete 3 tasks but I can only seem to find two.

Also something I noticed. Use a shout in every town you find. Pretty often a courier will show up with a message from a "friend" from that town that gives you the location of a new word.

I haven't done them all, but there is the deliver the letter one, the burned house one and the dragon one. Also do you mean every town or every major town like the nine major cities?

Huh, I havent found one to deliver a letter. I suppose my search continues.

Well the couriers tend to find me in the Thanes but I think all my letters have been from the smaller towns like Ivarstead and such.

I also am having trouble here in Morthal. I need the three quests, but I don't know what they are. I'm done the Vampire one, which doesn't count, does it?; the letter from the Jarl's daughter to the Priestess; and ... I killed the dragon that showed up when I did in the town...

Any help is appreciated. I'm worried that a mudcrab or dragon killed Jorgun, of jorgun and lami, and he was supposed to give me the quest...

Not every dungeon can be completed as soon as you find it, do not assume the enemies inside will be low-level like dungeons in Oblivion were. Fighting a Dragon Priest at level 12 is not fun. This also applies to side-quests.

NPCs you escort places will pick up the weapons and armor of slain enemies if it is an upgrade for them. Took a pilgrim to the Eldergleam and he was outfitted in bandit chief armor by the end of it.

Followers, no matter how far away they are, will teleport to you any time you move into a new cell, as long as they're still alive.

So, does anyone else's PC version of Skyrim (downloaded off Steam) tend to just close on you? Mine used to do it whenever I hit R to loot all but now it's doing it at random times. Downright annoying.

It's a Bethesda game, you have to expect random CTDs for the first month or so of the game's life. I've had something like a dozen of them in 20-30 hours of play, so I'm not too terribly fussed by it, but it does get annoying to randomly crash the game.

What really annoys me is that if I tab out, I can't get back into the game without some shenaniganery. 'tis rather aggravating.

There's only quests. I've done a handful of them, though I refuse to do Boethiah's quest. It is way too abhorrent for me to even start the thing

I actually don't want any more Companions to accompany me, in case they all die and can't give me quests anymore.

From what I've been able to deduce, companion characters cannot be killed by NPCs, only incapacitated.

What can happen however is that your AOE attacks can hit them while they are incapacitated, and that's what actually kills them. If you just stand there and let your companion do their thing, eventually they will win. Guaranteed. The problem is you surviving that long.

What's really annoying is when I use Storm Call to try and hit a dragon to get the stupid thing to agro, all of the lightning hits my companion. For whatever silly reason, dragons are apparently immune to Storm Call and can't be hit by the randomly targeted bolts of lightning.

1. How do you parry when your other hand is occupied? For instance, I have a sword in my right hand and a spell in my left. How do I parry with my sword? Likewise, how do I parry when I'm dual wielding? If the answer is "You don't!", that's just retarded...

2. Assuming that I can't parry unless I have a 2H weapon or a Shield, is there any benefit to using a single 1H weapon? Any at all? Also, is dual wielding worth it? I know I can attack with both weapons at once, but it seems a bit... gimmicky to me. Wouldn't I be better of with a 2H weapon which would let me block attacks as well?

1) You can't block or parry when dual wielding anything save shields.

2) The benefit to dual wielding is crazy fast attack speed. I use a pair of legendary quality Daedric swords and I can attack something like 4-5 times in a second. Double that with the Elemental Fury shout. It does a frankly ridiculous amount of damage. It's not as good as 2h weapons against high-armor targets (armor is flat damage reduction as best I can tell), but against everything else DW is superior.

Ah, not really.

I found out that compaions CAN be killed, but here's how it works:

Companion hits certain health level, goes into crying mode and sits there waiting for their health to come back.

Enemies will cease to attack them, and will attack you... or worse, your dog!

BUT! (There is one they fear!... sorry, bad joke) If your companion's health hits zero BEFORE they go into the healing stance, they die.

So if they get, say, smashed by a giant, they won't go into healing mode.

Nope, they will just fast travel through the sky.

Can anyone please give me a step by step guide on how to buy the house in solitude?

The quest that unlocked it for me was one that involved taking a memento of the slain king to a shrine of Talos, it was listed in the miscellaneous quest section and it was the Jarl who issued the quest.

The other quests in Solitude i've completed are the Sheogorath one and the Wolf Queen chain.

I'm just glad the dragon souls don't end up going to whoever actually makes the killing blow...

I don't use AoEs. I'm a warhammer-wielding Nord and I never use Dragon Shouts near my companions. Lydia died when I sent her ahead to deal with an orc bandit, who caved her skull in with a battleaxe, and Vilkas died against Red Eagle, while I was clearing the skeletons out of the room. It was as I shattered a skeleton I saw the subtitles declaring 'Gah!' from Vilkas, and I turned around and Red Eagle had left his corpse on the stairs and was coming for me.

I had a question: The Nord race is totally immune to cold damage, right? So, being in Skyrim, do a lot of things deal cold damage, giving the player that chooses Nord an overwhelming advantage?

I found the amulet in the house, and decided not to sell it (For now) but my quest marker still points to the Jarl's assistant, and he has no new dialog options.

Was I suppose to sell it? or is the quest glitched?
