And the fact that I will try to get BF3, Gears 3, Batman Arkham City...then there are other games already released that I would like.

I'll get Skyrim 6 months after release, that is to say, after the modders have turned it from great to awesome.

I might get MW3 for a rainy weekend at some point, but I don't have specific plans for getting it.

On one hand I haven't played any of the Modern Warfare games, and on the other I get a free copy of Skyrim. Personally I don't have any conflicts to worry about!

Minecraft would be a bigger problem except I can play it right now so I don't see any problems taking a break from it when Skyrim comes out.

Day One buy? Probably neither. Will probably buy Skyrim when all the patches come out (as I recall that Elder Scrolls games are famously buggy at launch.) Need to finish Dragon Age 2 and get through my second Witcher 2 playthrough as it seems that Skyrim will suck my soul for a good long while.

MW3? I'll probably borrow it after borrowing MW2, MW, BLOPS. Not really a shooter fan (as I'm only now working my way through HL2 and waiting for DNF). And given a choice, I'll probably buy BF3. Really enjoyed 1942 and BF3 has jets and tanks XD

Off topic I know, but Skyrim over MW3.

I will own both. That being said I will be making Skyrim as close to a day one purchase as possible.
I mean really, I have 2 perfectly good COD's and I can hop online and shoot people in the face whenever I feel the urge.
No contest; Skyrim comes first.

I would imagine the crossover between fans of those games isn't enough to make this a hard decision for anyone. Most of us know exactly which of the two we are getting.
