That's not a bug! They're just adapting! Best AI ever! :D
OH FUCK! If we take this as a joke, how will we prevent the backwards dragon uprising.
I suggest a head on attack to surprise them.

Wish I would have known all this before I updated. Now I have a fucked Skyrim.

How do they keep getting away by releasing straight up broken crap like this? Yeah, big game, hard to find everything, blah blah blah. But I'm not asking for EVERYTHING to be perfect. I'm asking for the game to be functional and not completely broken.

I really don't think I'm being unreasonable here.
Read in the voice Snake would say "Metal...Gear?" in.

Yeah and you know those texture problems the Xbox 360 was having? Well I didn't actually have those until after the patch.

As cool as the dragons flying is I think I know who caused this, It might be Bethesda's new intern Glitch Gremlin (i would put a scrambled version of the name that is also ironic but i am not that creative.) You have to remember when Bethesda fights the war on glitches they fight a hydra so when they stop one glitch 2 new ones replace it.

(Xbox) I have a recurring issue where, when I go to use a dragon shout, it doesn't do anything. I'll mash the button and everything, and I'll even check to make sure I have one equipped. I do. Strangely, the options in the shout menu are all greyed out. I go to select a different one, to see what's wrong, where it tells me that I "can't change shouts when one is being used". Yeah, it gets annoying when I really need to use one of the shouts.

Okay, I got everything else done and I'll call mother in a hour or so. But first what do I sacrifice to Loki?

A virgin? A goat? The soul of a PC gamer?

You really shouldn't skimp on important details.

OT: So no one is going to bring up that the dragons breathe fire out their asses when they fly backwards? PS3 it only does fire shitting dragons.
Sorry about that.
It depends on the platform but yes a 360 player can offer up the soul of a PC gamer and a PC gamer can offer up the soul of a 360 gamer.
The PS3 sacrifice isn't quite so easy; it has to be a virgin rabbit born in a month with an "R" in it and it has to be bled on an altar made out of a ps3 running Linux. Anoint the game disc with the blood of the rabbit (banishing pentagram) and you should be good to go.
Sure it's a bit more complicated but we are talking about a Bethesda game on the PS3...needs a little extra help.
It's why I don't have Skyrim: I'm a ps3 owner.

My decision to delay buying Skyrim until the inevitable Game of the Year edition is becoming more and more prudent.
Not so fast! Remember how many bugs the FO3 GOTY edition had?
I don't actually. Although I did buy it eventually, I did so perhaps 12-18 months after it was released. How bad was it?

well I'm glad I took a break from Skyrim in the last week or so, was gonna go back to it tonight, now I know not to update, though to be honest, I've never had that much trouble with glitches, there's been a bit of lag here and there and my manniquins disappear when I try to display my awesome hand-crafted dragon-armour on them, and just once I killed a dragon and for some reason didn't absorb it's soul, but other than that it's been fine, so I'll continue to enjoy Skyrim HAHA!!

Can anyone confirm if this happens on PC as well? I'm getting some Steam funds from my parents for Christmas, and Skyrim is one of the games I'm buying. If this is a problem on PC, I want it fixed by Christmas. You hear me, Bethesda!? I want it fixed!

no, its an optical illusion!
there's lots of dragons and the light's flashing irregularly, so they SEEM to go backwards.
[sub]sorry, i just did that in physics today...[/sub]

I had no trouble with the release version, other than having that soul crushing lag every now and again, but it only ever really happened while I was in either Solitude or Whiterun. My problems began when I got the patch. Kicked my Nord in the balls because he's no longer frost resistant, or a Dovahkiin since he can't absorb dragon souls. I don't even wanna go out on my Mage yet because fighting dragons yields no reward, and she finds dragons all over the place.

Does anyone know how to uninstall the patch, without actually removing it from the system? The only thing that has kept me from outright deleting the patch is the fact that it's 92MB, and on an internet as slow as mine, that's a very, VERY big number. And that I read another patch was on its way sometime soon. I'm on PS3, if anyone could help me out with this. I've tried what I can think of, and I dunno if I'm missing something or not.

Step 3. - Find a way to give mods to console users... or maybe just let them suffer for sake of fairness
Can I ask how its fair? I don't own the PC version because its too expensive for me to upgrade my 8 year old PC (aka, buy a whole new computer because its never had an upgrade in its life and its cheaper to buy a whole new machine)

I own the PS3 version, I only had very minor lag and everything seems ok after I updated (I don't use the resist stuff, so I'm not sure if that's broken for me) other than that 1 freeze but I didn't lose much (oh and the game not responding to my control inputs that one time...surprised my horse didn't die after I couldn't steer it away from going right down a waterfall XD )

The only way to remove it is to delete the patch, as far as I know

Anyone on the Xbox360 can confirm these bugs?

So far my pre-patch game was perfectly fine, no bugs at all.

so I rather not download it until I get some confirmation the bugs are really that bad.
I've been playing for 3 hours or so today after this second patch, no bugs or glitches. I have not seen a dragon tho. I have the game installed on my 360.

Update Edit: Odahviing flies fine, still haven't seen a random Dragon tho, will hunt one now...

Edit 2: Killed a blood dragon guarding a shout word. Flew normal, while I let him ; )

Going to do the Mara quests and see if I can marry without incident next...

No game breaking bugs at all. In all my 100+ hours of play (I'm on vacation, don't judge me!) the game froze twice, that's it. Thank you Bethesda!
Well, seeing as I had about the same flawless track record before the patch, I might as well update it.
