Depends on what you mean by old school 2000AD because Sinister/Dexter was after my time. That said my, favorite strip was Nemesis the warlock and about the last one I read and liked was Devlin Waugh. I always felt it was a shame that Devlin Waugh character never went on to be more than a one off.marcooos said:Just thought I'd ask as I got bought up on old school 2000AD are there any fans on the escapist? If yeah, whats your favourite strip?
Dredd is always first with Sinister/Dexter and Rogue Trooper joint second
Which film?HoneyVision said:Loved the Judge Dredd film. A lot.
this about sums up my opinion, hell i really did like stallone's cheesy ass movie of it, but karl urban's nailed it imo.ZZoMBiE13 said:I like the character. I own some of his comics. And I really enjoyed both the Karl Urban movie and even liked the Stallone movie for better or worse. I like Judge Dredd. I'd even say I like the character a lot.
I kept hoping that they would add Dredd to the roster of INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us. I think DC used to publish Dredd in the states or had some relationship with 3000 A.D. at some point. But alas it wasn't meant to be I suppose. Shame really. His alt costumes could have been "Urbanized" which would be the 2012 movie version, and "Sly" which would naturally be the Stallone look.gmaverick019 said:this about sums up my opinion, hell i really did like stallone's cheesy ass movie of it, but karl urban's nailed it imo.ZZoMBiE13 said:I like the character. i'd love a judge dredd action game, hopefully they can do something like that someday.
I generally meant earlier stuff like ABC warriors, Nemesis and Flesh. Which I read because of my dads collection he kept. Sinister Dexter I just liked from the later issuesalbino boo said:Depends on what you mean by old school 2000AD because Sinister/Dexter was after my time. Nemesis the warlock is the start point for warhammer 40k, many of the ideas were "borrowed" from there for 40k. I seem to remember that the artists that drew the original look for Blood Bowl for Games Workshop also drew some of the later Nemesis the warlock stories.
