Starcraft 2 didn't get reviews until post-launch. Perhaps Bethesda is doing the same as Blizzard, or maybe the reviewers haven't spent enough time with it to deliver their final verdict.Imperator_DK said:I'm a bit worried that there aren't any reviews up yet for it even on American sites on launch day either. That's usually not a good sign regarding the quality of a release. Still, I have faith they won't be able to screw up Bethesda's overall template from Fallout 3 too badly.SonicWaffle said:...
That soon? Wow. I have seen absolutely zero marketing for it. You'd think the successor to a former Game Of The Year, as well as being the latest installment in a major gaming series, would warrant at least a poster in the window of Game...

The only Special Editions I remember pre-ordering are Resident Evil 5 and C&C3: Kane Edition, both for being venerable series (until C&C4, that was...). I've got plenty of Special Editions bought later on though, Including TES: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Unreal Tournament 3, The Witcher, Far Cry 2, MGS4, and Warcraft 3.Mozza444 said:...
Also, just to get some convo rolling..
Have you ever pre-ordered a special edition of a game. What game was it and why?

True, it's a game one will have to spend quite a bit of time with to properly evaluate. Someone also corrected me that there are reviews up for the Xbox 360 version of the game on metacritic (and now one up at The Escapist) though, so it's only the PS3 and PC ports for which they're absent so far.Su.zaku said:...

Edit - 5 stimpacks?! Amazing! This is so worth a pre-order!
My experience with launch bonuses, this coming from mass effect 2 for the 360 is that it works for only one account (one profile) but is available to all characters created under that profile, not sure if that will be the case for this game though.Mozza444 said:So, from what I can see, all you lucky bastards in America seem to have the release date as today for this awesome game.
And i must say the game play looks awesome:
However... it seems i have another 3 days wait on my hands before i can grab my copy..
And today i am going to Pre-order the "limited edition"? with the cards and stuff like that, and yes.. it will be the first game i have ever pre ordered and bought a special edition of.. but damn it looks worth it.
However one question that I need to ask is.. Can you use the pre-order bonus code, for multiple accounts?
In other words will i be able to get

This cool shit on all of the people that i make?
Because how I see it, it would mainly be useful on a "hardcore mode" account due to having a canteen so you don't get dehydrated as easily. I just don't want to waste it on my easy first run through..

Seems to be a problem in the embedding.
Or be as good as possible and you'll be just as swimming in them. I'm at the highest karma level on my main save with about 700 of the damn things...Malyc said:If its anything like fallout 3, just be as EVIL as possible, and you will be absolutely swimming in stimpacks by the time you hit level 15.
So... apparently what you have to do to get hundreds of stimpacks is be any extreme that you can be...Ophiuchus said:Or be as good as possible and you'll be just as swimming in them. Anyway: I was gonna wander down to GAME this afternoon to preorder it but it's raining now so... yeah. Tomorrow's fine. I'm breaking tradition and getting the PC version this time 'cos the collector's edition is only £50 compared to £70 for the Xbox version, and it'll be a novelty to play a new release game on the PC. My brother, on the other hand, preordered it from Play.com and it's been posted already, so he might get it tomorrow.
I won't actually get to play it on release day (Friday, of course) 'cos I've got to travel down to my friend's birthday thing and won't be back until Saturday evening. S'alright though, I didn't even break the shrinkwrap on Fallout 3 for four days after I bought it 'cos I was either busy, out or too hungover to operate a controller.
Yeah I thought that too..Aethren said:Anyone else find those extras in that pre-order deal to be...kinda lame?
