OT: Nope, not mugged. Not yet anyway. We live in a desperate world where people either need to commit these crimes to live or choose to commit these crimes for kicks. Either way you look at it, people are still doing it and it won't change, there always needs to be a bottom rung of criminals.

I was walking home last night and saw a group of people that approached me. They literally stole my shoes and were about to steal my wallet and throw me off this bridge. I got out of their control and managed to jump off it and land on a train.

How fucked up are the times we live in that random people seriously attempt to kill someone for shoes and a damn wallet?

Has anyone else had an experience being mugged, or attempted mugging? I'm fairly proficient in Krav Maga. But taking on five people at once is quite difficult. I managed to submit the big guy, but some other dude repeatedly punched me in the head until I retreated.

I jumped off a 30 foot bridge, on to a train, so about a 20 foot drop. Jumped off, and walked home 4 miles in my socks. Sorry for the profanity, but I seriously think this is messed up.

You should have picked up a car and thrown it at them.

my friend was once mugged by five gypsies. they then proceeded to discuss disposal of her corpse when they would be done, and the raping order they would stick to before. what they didn' know was that she understads their language. what they appearently forgot about is that every citizen without criminial history here can carry concealed weapons for self defense^^
2 were incpatitated and arrested on the spot a few minutes later, the other three were found and aprehended half an hour later by a patrol car. so, she got out pretty ok, but she's still nervous as hell about going out at night.

Unrelated: Using infrared monitoring me and some buddies found small time-bombs hidden in a passerby's shoes. There wasn't much time so we quickly removed his shoes. We tried to stand him up next to the edge of the bridge we found him on, but he freaked out and jumped off. Luckily enough a train was running under the bridge at the time and he didn't fall the full height of the bridge.
I hope he got home ok.

There have been a lot more arguments concerning the validity of your story, and this comment displayed my point most accurately. You seem to be getting incredibly defensive, very quickly. This can only lend itself to further suspicious examination of the details behind what you've said as it does seem a bit strange.
I can understand defensive about it, it likely is a rather sensitive thing, but you must've expected some disbelief when posting it on a forum? And you take offense, as the above quote displays, to off-hand jokes about it.

I don't wanna seem like i'm picking holes, because i do want your story to be true, and i like to believe that is it (as i said in an earlier post), but this instant defensive responses can't be helping other people believe you.

I thought I saw someone ask this earlier, and I maybe have missed the response but....why are you on the escapist instead of a hospital to check for injuries? Or sleeping? I got in a fight with 2 girls before, and I just completely crashed from exhaustion after the adrenaline kick died at the emergency room.

Wow, seems like having a train conveniently break your fall when you jump of a bridge is more common that you think!
Also, was the infrared monitoring being used in the line of work, or did you get one from somewhere? And it would have been nice if the guy hadn't jumped so you could ask him why the heck he had miniature bombs in his shoes . It's a shame that some questions just go on unanswered...

I hope the guy ended up alright as well, although I have to ask: Did you see him land on the train? I hope I'm not a bad person for this, but it would have looked pretty darn awesome. Looks like we have two Batmen in this thread...

Behold a lovely wall of text! i think i got off topic at some point but uh yeah enjoy at will.

well i was told a story from some guy at school saying once he was catching the train home and some guy stabbed him with a syringe witch apparently had heroin (unsure as the details were sketchy and he told me sometime ago) but whatever drug substance that was in there his body couldn't handle it and had a seizure woke up in hospital not long after, because of that he was mentally addicted to heroin(or whatever drug it was) he used to be able to play guitar really well and was just starting to made his own songs now about 3years he picks up a guitar and has no idea how to play it, no memory of how to play he also lots allot of his closest friends to the addition

all because some junkie wanted his cash, after he gave the junkie $5 witch was all he had in his wallet the junkie still went ahead and stabbed him and still took his empty wallet

me personally ive never had anyone try to mug/rob me ect. im 16now though so im sure at some point some lowlife will try it on me, fortunately our school has a martial arts therapy program and thats what got me into MMA and Kickboxing now i train 4-5times a week (or try my best to)

Still even with a good 9months worth of training behind me i still have not once been in a real fight, and i know i highly doubt i could take on 3 let alone 4 people at once 2 Mayyyybe but thats a big Maybe but when theres no other option besides self defense in a situation against a group of people ill take my changes and fight back rather than curl up in a ball and take it That said i hope i never get into a situation like that

once at school some low life junkie was picking on this yaer8 kid with heavy aspergus syndrome after awhile of picking on the kid the kid snapped picked up a chair and was just yelling at him and this low life beat the living crap out of him :| i was on the other side of the class room and just as i realized what was happening he started to get punched multiple times and i imminently thought to run over there and tackle the guy try to hold him down but for some reason i just froze up and watched and only ran over there when it was to late :| i dunno why i didnt run over there sooner but i feel quite bad about it to this day :

on another occasion that same junkie guys friend (i dunno what drugs they take but i dont particularly care there all junkies to me) were picking on a overweight kid in class and after class i said to him "are you happy?" he responds "wut?" "are you happy you spend an entire hour picking on someone whos overweight you low life drugo" of course he got all pissed off and walked up to me Strangely i went into a defensive guard and he walked right into my fist, I kid you not i went into your typical fighting stance and he walked Right into my fist xD! it shocked him and then he swore and yelled and walked off while i was thinking *wait what just happened?*

Next week all his stupid little lowlife junkie friends eggd him onto punching me, I was talking to some year 7 kid and then the junkie walked up to me and asked why i hit him i calmly explained what happened and apologized as any good man would do he responded with "Oh ok" as he is about to walk off he waited for when i turned around then *SMACK* got punched right in the ear with one of the most widest punches youl ever see, i responded with a quite "ouch" it stung

but all the older experienced material artists that work in the therapy program at my old school were extremely surprise i didnt react at all and were impressed that i basically ignored a punch to the face (well ear) lol

i think the reason i just ignore him was because at that point i thought *"well i pissed him off pretty badly last week and somehow accidentally hit him but of course hes gonna think it was on purpose and i bet even if i do beat him up his group of 10or so will just beat the living shit out of me out of school at some point so Fuck it ill just take the couple of hits and a teacher will break it up very soon anyway"* i noticed there was teachers nearby anyway so

i dunno it all depends on the situation sometimes you gotta defend yourself other times defending yourself puts you in a much worse situation, at the end of the day i carry around my wallet with nothing important in it that a few dollars for food, a cheap phone and my external HDD sometimes thats really all i got in my pockets im not gonna rabidly defend myself against a huge group for something like that... Even if i had like say.. a Iphone4g $200 in my wallet and a uhh i dunno Psp? or something Im still not going to risk all of that to try and take on a group of 3to5 and risk serious injuries and possible brain damage
and if you carry that amount of expensive gear on you then thats partly your fault to begin with

i noticed when i was in year 7-8 i went to the emo phase that whole stupid fringe thing but i was more on the goth side i dunno why i was that emo type i guess it was a phase anyway lol but when i had the whole long hair black clothing i got allot of crap a hell of allot more than i do now, now i wear a cheap leather jacket i had a mohawk at one stage just to see what its like and while i had my mohawk for about 5-6months i never got any insults or bullied or anything like that xD its amazing how a simple hair cut and different clothing can really change peoples perspective of you, the people around my local schools and train stations that get "jumped" "rolled" or whatever and normally the tight jeans wearing emos that have almost womanly like hairdo and those crabcore loving people i just keep hearing about so many of them getting beaten up But its typical because most crabcore guys (atleast the few i know of) always threaten people Even if its joking they say it really seriously as a joke and thats why id assume allot of them get beaten up

you have me sympathy, this is why people need to own a weapon (Sword or gun) or need to have training for fighting, and why is it if you kill the people who are about to kill you how come it looks like your the killer...if a man or men threatened me or where about to do something I would consider their life void unless they tell me something that lets me spare them...but fortunatly I have not been in that kind of situation yet.

The worst situation that has happend to me is that a guy wanted to hand me my money to him at school and I grabbed him by his shirt and slapped his face hardest I could a couple of times and told him to bugger of before I put him through a window...this what happens when you enter high school with three years full of being bullied because your a gamer...
