Didn't occur to you to do that before becoming a cat? As a cat, you'd have no opposable thumbs, and since a cat always lands feet-up, you couldn't just "jump".

If i were a cat, it'd be the best thing in the world. No need to worry about getting a job, or waking up with just a few hours of sleep, or getting a proper college degree or anything. Just catch my own food, live wherever i like. It'd be awesome.
