A driver finds himself behind the wheel of a GT racer at the 24 Heures du Mans, there are three minutes before the race starts... and he hasn't had any training!

Insanity in Le Mans

(a.k.a. "HOLY SHIT, 200mph down the Hunaudières and I don't know where to brake!")
I will personally foot the bill for that movie.

The only thing that comes to mind immediately is a picture of Sackboy I drew a month or two ago, and I might have a story ready later.

Woo, that was a crazy saturday night everyone, I'm glad I got a picture [http://img-fan.theonering.net/rolozo/images/grzechnik/Battle_of_Minas_Tirith.jpg] of it.

This is my 100th post. I give it to you with a cherry on top.

Maybe you'll get to see # 200 as well.

In a place where people had come from afar,
I noticed a girl's Yoshi avatar.
I inquired, "Why is your Yoshi so green?"
She replied, "Because I am awfully keen,
On the dinosaur of whom Yoshi is the name,
Ever since I saw first him in a video game."

Still wond'ring about the curious pic,
I asked, "But what made the idea stick,
Of making the cute little dinosaur be
The face displayed to you and to me?"
The response that I got, in her light dulcet voice,
was this: "I never really had a choice,
You see, I was wanting my own profile shot,
That represented me quite a lot."

I thought to myself, scratching my head,
"Considering all that she has just said,
For a picture that represents all that she be,
Why did she choose the little Yoshi?"
And then it hit me, right there and then.
I piped up my voice, and spoke out again,

"I know what you mean, I finally see!
I understand just why you picked Yoshi,
Before I about what was to be seen,
And knew that you weren't tiny and green.
Now I know why you picked Yoshi, quite clearly,
Because, just like him, we all love you dearly."

Oh, I can feel the Larenxis love right now. I'm sure we should put up a big banner saying 'Welcome Home Larenxis' and have streamers and balloons waiting for her with everyone's arms interlaced.

Damn cyber internet restricting me!

Ah well, I'll bring the internet wine.

Monument Valley

Eve and Medusa are roadtripping through the desert southwest
in a teal-green Thunderbird convertible.
Medusa brought it home for Valentine's Day
a surprise for Eve
to say nothing of the men
at the dealership.
Saw it in the window
walked in and shook off her
green silk head-wrap.

Eve knows in her gut the car is stolen
and doesn't care.

The road snakes through monuments of
red rock framed in celluloid
heat that shimmers at
24 frames a second.
Eve sick of suburban gardens
Medusa at home in a landscape of stone.

Medusa's hair does not blow and tangle but
suns itself upon her shoulders
reflected in the mirror of Eve's sunglasses.
Eve strokes Medusa's neck
coils her fingers in curls that coil back
thinks back to her first love
and smiles.

hes got soles, but hes not a soldier

anyway, lyrics!

Hello Space Girl
What's wrong with you today
Wake up next to you
Hear you screaming Go Away
You take it on the chin like you think you earned it somehow
Nothing is further from the truth
I'm screaming for resolution
Cause i've got nothing left to lose

I see the stars calling you home
(to the light to the light)
Admit to me you've nowhere left to go
(in the light in the light)

Hey there Space Girl
Why'd you hurt yourself today
Try to get close to you
You hate to be stuck in one place
You stare it down to show you know your needed somewhere
and you'll make it by yourself
I'm screaming for your assistance
Cause i know you need my help

I see the stars calling you home
(to the light to the light)
Admit to me you've nowhere left to go
(in the light in the light)

You can't tell me im not worthy
When you collapse in my arms
you cant tell me your all alone
When im holding you tightly
you cant keep ignoring me
When I'm all that you got
You're a space girl
And that's all that you want

Hello Space Girl
Nice of you to blow back into town
Are you listening
Tell me can you hear me now?
You tell me now your happy like you earned it somehow
Nothing is further from the truth
You're screaming for resolution
Nothing left for you to lose

I see the stars calling you home
(to the light to the light)
Admit to me you've nowhere left to go
(in the light in the light)

You can't tell me im not worthy
When you collapse in my arms
you cant tell me your all alone
When im holding you tightly
you cant keep ignoring me
When I'm all that you got
You're a space girl
And that's all that you want

Hello Space Girl
Hello Space Girl
Hello Space Girl
Hello Space Girl

on reflection, i think you mean you will not read this if it was on the second page of off topic. with that in mind, i'm going to bump with more lyrics!

This one is called Pissing Into the See (I'm not a defeatist I've just been around longer than you)

do you feel special for speaking your mind
do you not realise your wasting your time
do you not see shit happens whatever you do
don't try to show me i see right through you

no your opinion's as valid as his
no your issue's important it is
no im not saying you should tow the line
all that im doing is showing that i'm

sick of hearing you piss
into the wide open sea
i know that you think you;re special
its not a big deal to me

you think your amazing i think you're a twat
you're wearing the hemp dress that makes you look fat
you're waving a banner of lies and deciete
saying "Science is evil" and "Eat less red meat"

you know that ive never seen you attempt
to make a real difference now dont get defenced
with your leather boots and your cute little dog
if you gotta do it you do the whole hog oh

sick of hearing you piss
into the wide open sea
i know that you think you;re special
its not a big deal to me

So give up your christmas to show JC your arse
Throw out your makeup go out with some class
Get rid of your X Box destroy your tv
When you've proved you can do that come talk to me

cause you've not saved a life except maybe your own
and youve never sung merry at the old folks home
you yell at the universe thats all you do
and im making a difference so im telling you get

sick of hearing you piss
into the wide open sea
i know that you think you;re special
its not a big deal to me

I have something to tell you, Larrenxis. I've been holding this in for a while now but I think it needs to be said.

I'm in like with you. Very in like. So much in like, in fact, that I think I might even appreciate you.

sas, what are you thinking? you are declaring your like for someone OVER THE INTERWEB! what do you expect to happen? out of nowhere a long and meaningful friendship to pop up? maybe a few conversations running around? while i'm all for a gesture like this, its magnitude makes it too much too soon!

believe me when i say you'll be better aquaintences this way

I can't hold it in any longer, doki. Like is blind; it makes fools of us all. I can only follow my heart and hope that, somewhere, somehow, an internet friendship is possible.

Sorry for the pedantry, but most cars these days are more likely to be a ton-and-a-half rather than just a ton. The only cars that I can think of which are still in the region of a ton are Daihatsus and specialist sports cars, and somehow, I can't get the picture of a Daihatsu being a "giant of the modern world", somehow. I get more of a picture of BMW or Mercedes-Benz saloons (because they sound like the sorts of cars which people would park in an aggressive fashion) and these tend to be closer to 1,800 kilograms these days.

Aside from that overly elaborate focus on a minor part of your poem, I think it's well-written.
Artist licence, *****. So ner.
