and have you played unleashed? it was pretty decent

I have played Sonic Unleashed and I only liked the daytime levels and what you call pretty decent I call mediocre at best, it also doesn't make up for the money I spent playing all the other Sonic games that came out because
1. I have a friend who's a sonic fanboy and I should reeeaaally stop listening to him
or
2. my parents or grandparents get me it and have shallow hope that this gaming addiction is merely a phase and that I don't take a perverse pleasure at laughing at meager attempts at amusement

I see. It's the whole White Knight angle, then, the people who won't hear and will ignore anything negative about their charge. The people who believe that their charge is the best one and portrays it in that light as such. The people who have Messiah Complex.

Well, I personally try to be fair. Back on subject(-ish), I'm trying to be fair, but sympathetic in regards to the whole Sonic franchise (hence the analogies that come from late-night fatigue and alcohol). I know that there's not a thing perfect about the whole scenario (except, perhaps, the orchestral-rock musical score). I dunno about everyone else here, but people tend to take you more seriously if you make fair assessments, subject regardless. If you can do that, then you can argue about a subject being crap or not until the cows come home and not lose any substantial acclaim.

2 things:
1: you can play the wii version with a normal control stick
2: my point was that in the 360 version, if you watch any speedrun, they just hold down the boost button non stop
in the wii version you cant spam the boost because of the way it works, nothing to do with controls

Urr. Durrh. I make stupid posts. You seem to make presumptuous posts. I gave no evidence that I didn't play the Wii version, so I'll clear up right now by saying that you're right. Here's a cookie.

My friend commonly brings HIS copy over to my house to show me the comparison. So, you're right, I HAVEN'T played it, but I've sat beside someone who has. And you know what? HE got the Xbox version afterwards. He told me the comparison was between drinking vodka and then drinking Volvic. The Wii version being nothing but WATER in comparison to the spirits that is the Xbox version. I dunno, but he looked damn uncomfortable playing it, and it looked damn uncomfortable for Sonic as well. I dunno about you, but I'm sticking with the version I think is best.

And, what? They hold down the "make me go faster" button to do speedruns? How DARE they?! And here I thought that having to use high speed in increments of five seconds each instead of when I WANT for precision boosting was the way to go?
