Basically Sony's bitching cos' Microsoft got smart and decided to take dibs on some big games.

It's called business. Sony of all people should know that.
Yea a business model that doesn't create a brand identity and leaves sales flat whenever there is a third party dry spell like there was last year.

I always find it extremely amusing when Sony and Microsoft give jabs to each other and start making a dick-waving competition to see whose penis grew larger (or not) by how many nanometres every once in a while.

if the good 360-exclusive games like Fable and Halo come to the PS3 (and I mean ALL the good 260 exclusive games, including the online ones like Perfect Dark Classic), then I'll stick with PS3 solely, but until then, I favor my 360 more.

Do I care whether or not Microsoft creates their own exclusives? God no, as long as the exclusives are good. Seems like a stupid thing to be nit-picky about, Sony. But if they want to feel like they're winning the pissing contest because of it, good for them.
Sony sound jealous because no matter where the exclusives come from, there are more good ones on 360 than on PS3 at the moment.

I <3 PS3 mainly because unlike my Xbox it hasn't blown out four time. I also decided for slightly initial cost it does do alot, and realy long term savings entered my mind. (XBOX $299 (at the time), Wifi $60, Extra controller $50, gold subscription $60, $100 HD player (during the HD/Ray war it lost)) or PS3 ($399, mine came with an extra controller as a promo.

However, Sony will have to compete with Xbox on their level at some point or start to lose big titles and alienate gamers, and just promote Xbox through defacto marketing ("hey I got both systems, but only have Ps3 for GoW, everything else on Xbox) not a great way to get the system supported.

They also have to figure how to deal with the online service charges to producers (I will have to pay, but if provides better service, I guess I'll have to ante up, unless they do something really creative) and programming and tranfer issues. All the whining, bells and whistles won't save it forever if basic issue are not addressed.

Sony may have the hardware, but Xbox still seems to have the market (if just walking into a local store and sales in cross-platform titles is an indication). If Xobx can get the hardware updated (maybe my gen was just a lemon, but not sold on returning just yet) and if natal appeals to the causal user get even small fractions of real big boy market (Wii and DS) Ps3 could easily crash and burn.

It's not evil, it's good for both the developers and Microsoft, for the developers it's basically money for nothing, they were already going to make the game, it was just a matter of how much time and what kind of budget it was going to get, this way they know they've got cash coming so they can relax a bit and do a better job.

For Microsoft they have something to fight the Sony exclusives with, without having to set up yet another game development studio that might or might not be any good, by going to proven winners with cash at least they know they've got a chance of getting a hit.

And hey, screw Sony, stop acting like little bitches, we still remember you're strangle hold on the FF series.

True. But it IS still business. It works sometimes doesn't work the other times.

Go Sony for having their exclusives? Interesting. They do have more original IP's, though the crown for those still goes to Nintendo. I guess they're calling out the bought-out third party guys because they don't make exclusives for just the 360, they make either cross-platform or computer builds as well. And that Nintendo seems to have gotten off its weird addiction to grandmothers and children sparks a new interest that they might be returning to the gaming field. 2010 is still up for grabs, it seems. I was predicting Sony would overtake, but...who knows, maybe it will continue to go to the Wii. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing Sony catch up and overtake. There are a few titles to push it there, certainly...
