The console wars have practically rendered themselves moot. Graphics aren't going to get much better, so if you've been a Playstation kid since day 1, you're going to go for the Playstation... same with the Xbox and the Nintendo...
Not really. I was a Playstation kid from day one, but then converted to the Xbox the generation after. Haven't looked back since. Still love my Playstation though, and although it's died, I still have it on my mantelpiece.

No, seriously.

On-Topic: No disrespect to Sony or the fans, but this is quite bullshit. The 360 would definitely be able to run it, as would the PC.

Wow sony can really say some stupid things at times. And it's not like they can use the "only on playstation." thing, look what happened to grand theft auto, on 360 now, and they even got the lost and damned wich is not on the ps3.

It may be complete bullshit, but c'mon. Seriously, cut us PS3 owners some slack: we need good exclusives way more than you do!

No you don't. No body needs exclusives. It's just that devs are lazy, and refuse to make ports for all the main consoles (pc, xbox, ps3).

Two words to often describe Sony's marketing strategies: "Blast Processing"

(Raise your hand if you get the joke.)

A high-end PC could run ANY of these latest console games. I'm upset that I paid $60 for Dragon Age on the 360 when, for $10 less, it runs faster (60+ FPS) and looks better (max settings) on my PC. (Downloaded the PC version)

All of the in-game textures on the 360 version look like complete crap, it reminded me of an N64 or early Dreamcast game.

Well yes, like Mario has done anything for Nintendo. Mario has been overused so much now every single game is exactly the same, and it sucks. HARD. Wii as a gaming console is horrible, because they don't have any actually good games cept a few. Sure they have a lot of exclusives, but they are all bad.

Here's my thing -- it doesn't matter whether it could be done on any other system or not, because the game isn't on any other system. God of War 3 is badass. If you want to experience the badass, you're going to need a PS3, that's it, done. I find it very odd that anyone speaking about the game is trying to convince us of anything else.
As it just so happens, she is right. The God of War series has been Sony exclusive(to my knowledge) and this game is no different. I must add a nagging thought though: Why don't they release it for the PS2 as well? The graphics can't be that mind-boggling. Even if its watered down, a Vast majority of fans own a PS2 over PS3. It would be economically better to sell it on both consoles. See? This is just Sony trying to beat Microsoft's next-gen (is it next gen?) console with their own. Naturally, Nintendo has crossed over into casual gaming so they can be taken out of this arguement completely.
I agree that they should release it on the PS2 as well, but doing so would require additional production time and costs as they would have to create the Lower Quality version to compensate for the PS2's lower graphic and processing capabilities. Perhaps they don't see the extra time, money, and resources spent making the PS2 version as a worthwhile investment.
I somewhat agree with that however, and this is why I thought the whole Backwards Compatibility omission from the PS3 was a bad idea, the PS2 is probably one of if not the best selling consoles of all time. I'm sure there are still quite a few people who don't have a PS3 but have PS2's that they still play quite a bit on, if Sony made a low rez version on the PS2, there is no doubt in my mind that it would be able to sell really well. But you still have a great point there.

lol what? I luv my GoW3 but erm... HDR Lighting has been around (THE EXACT SAME TECH) for years in games...

I want to say it started with HalfLife2 but i think it was actually some other game around the same time.

oh... and i highly doubt SotC had HDR... though i honestly wouldnt be suprised considering the framerate, but no... i highly doubt it.

I honestly didnt think GoW3 had HDR, so thats cool that it does i guess, though i never noticed. (its not quite as pronounced as it used to be... thats a good thing)
