each represented person will get like $1000 to replace their PS3, the rest of the $49,000 is obviously going to the folks actually representing these 100 ppl duh!. XD
Just because you didn't have issues doesn't mean other people didn't.s69-5 said:Never had any issues whatsoever. NONE.
Not a single freeze (unlike say Fallout 3 or Dragon Age which is like once per hour).
Not a single hiccup.
Experiences may vary of course.
OP: That's an outlandish claim. While I would love $50,000, the value is really less than $1000. Unless legal bills are factored in, in which case it'd be what, $2000 at most?
No, the poisonous gas only gets released remotely by Sony executives if you have learned too much and become a threat to their master plan.Irridium said:The only reason they should demand that much money is if after the PS3's bricked, they pumped out poison gas.
Other than legal fee's, I can't see any good reason for asking for that much money.
What? Please, thats just silly. That's not how class-action lawsuits work John. Other people are encouraged to join in (the more people, the more of a case they have), effectively reducing everyone's piece of the pie. The one thing about lawsuits is you have to name your price, then sue. You can't sue, then pick how much you want to receive.John Funk said:The terms, on the other hand, are a bit less reasonable. The suit, which claims to represent over 100 PS3 owners, is seeking $5 million from Sony and Square-Enix in damages. So ideally, the plaintiffs are seeking approximately $50,000 per person, when the cost of a PS3 (and FF13) is $660 - at most, if you got the PS3 when it was first released.
I'd guess they're hoping to settle, cause a replacement PS3, refund for the game that bricked it, a bit more for time/inconvenience of dragging it through court, plus court and lawyer's fees shouldn't tally up anywhere near that mark.SnootyEnglishman said:This isn't going anywhere and by some idiotic chance that it does at least hit a trial they plaintiff's will not be rewarded that money and if they are then people should be executed in the judicial department for allowing such a thing.
