Sony's PSN Apology Includes Free Games

Infamous (own permanently)
Wipeout HD (not Fury) (got from PS+)
Super Stardust (own permanently) (and not offering those expansions?)
AND
LBP (own permanently)

So I get..
Dead Nation, and Wipeout (a game I own for all intents and purposes), and an expansion pack

I was really hoping for something like $30-$40 psn store credit (to cover two $15 games and some movie rentals) or at least a larger selection. Guess they don't want to lose money, and this is a really nice selection...but still...
This is really nice for everyone who doesn't have those games, but I have most of them.

well, a bonus month of PS+ is nice, and I'm curious about the movie service.
Sony, at least you made an effort, and with around what, 70 million customers, you're putting a lot on the line (let's say around forty US dollars a person, just with games and rentals).

yeah $30 in store credit would have been a better idea then i could have bought tactics ogre and been happy with the entire experience

My question is this. I have used PSN to buy games and stuff for my PSP. If I bought a PS3 now, would I be eligable to download the free PS3 games instead of the PSP games? If so.. I think I may just have to purchase a PS3

id think as long as you have an account you can download it within the next 30 days since to not do that could alienate new customers that they might want to keep

Those clever bastards. Sony really does wanna make up for it. To all those who don't like the game choice, or just anyone whose trust in Sony was lost: Stop your whining and complaining. Stop saying Sony doesn't care about you. If you think that getting two games on either/both of those systems for free is a bad thing, and that if you think the games are crap, or you already have them, then accept it.

I have inFamous and, like the guy I'm quoting, am probably gonna trade it in because the digital copy is better and one less disc. PSN isn't Steam. Once you download the games, they're yours. Plus, remember the free movie rentals and PS+! Free DLC, discounts on games, and free 60-minute trials. To quote Cave Johnson on exactly what Sony would say, "Matter of fact, you should be paying US."

Well, sucks for you. And now excuse me, while I'll enjoy LBP (I always planned to buy it, but it never came on the top of the primary list) and... Wipeout probably, because I have InFamous already and I haven't heard of any other titles on this list.

Thank you Sony. That few weeks without Mortal Kombat Online (well... Still not, I cannot activat my Kombat Pass due to PSN store being down) was well worth it. God speed.

Looks like I'm getting Dead Nation, I've been meaning to buy that, and Super Stardust HD, again I've been meaning to buy it.

Unfortunately this still won't make up for their failure. I've just had someone spend £20 on my account because i forgot my itunes account password was the same as my PSN password. It's been changed now, and i realise i should've been quicker with changing all my passwords, but i'm still angry at Sony and not going to touch their products any more than i have to in the future. You can forget going online again. I'll just stick to my xbox.

I'm surprised at how many people don't own inFamous; it was one of the first games I bought for the PS3. Well, unfortunately for me, none of those game really appeal to me, but hey, they're free so it isn't like I'm losing anything.
