I'm hoping that maybe it's looking bad because they haven't yet turned to the statistics of the many people trying to say this thing is bullshit.
The Democrats lost their House of Representatives majority in the last Congressional election after having done jack all with their first term, and they recently lost the 60 seats needed to block a filibuster (Ironically, the only thing that could stop the vote again) when Ed Kennedy died, and a republican won the election to replace him.
Is the Escapist trying to protect our identities as we speak out against the SOPA?

Of course they're rushing the bill through, they don't actually care about the implications for the people. They don't care whether it's morally or ethically fucked.
If you still think that raising our voices in unison against this thing is going to work, you're in for a shock. But then again, people still think that a change in leader will fix things. The number of "VOTE FOR RON PAUL! HE WILL FIX OBAMA'S CRAP!" I see all over the internet is absurd. He'll fix Obama's crap just like he fixed Bush's will he? Get fucking real.

Congress is passing this bill to distract the world from America's hotbed of corrupt, warmongering old men. Censoring the single greatest medium of free speech and public opinion that has ever existed. SOPA is simply an attack on civil liberties.
