I trump that with my Ace of Robyn.
(And I suppose there's also Ace of Base, if I really want to go with a playing cards theme.)

Also, there's this other thing I feel like blurting out...

ABSORB QUEEN!
REVOLUTION KING!
TEN, JACK, QUEEN, KING, ACE! ROYAL STRAIGHT FLUSH!

*coughs*

So, um, how's that Warhammer 40k going?

The sisters of battle are not space marine gals. They have less powerful armor and don't have mechanical or genetic implants to make them better.

I imagine they would be like that insane chick from GTA San Andreas. I forget what her name was.

This thread seems kind of pointless. I don't really get the topic, could someone further elaborate it for me?
In warhammer 40k there are no space marine galz. Do you think they should have Space chicks? And what would they be like?

Edit: Happy birthday!
Too many 14 year old boys getting horny for it

I couldn't get past the first page without wanting to crucify this thread so pardon me if anything or everything I'm about to say is redundant.

1) SISTERS OF BATTLE ARE NOT SPACE MARINES! Yes, they do wear power armor and have bolters, but they are not genetically enhanced in any way and do not follow the same customs as the Space Marines. They are basically beefed up Imperial Guardsmen. They have the same basic stat line of Imperial Guard except the upped armor save.

2) There is a reason that you never see women Space Marines. Go back about 600 years to the Medieval Ages. What did women do in those times? Go out and fight the wars, work in the local blacksmith? No. They farmed and birthed children, preferably SONS to go out and fight wars and work towards the betterment of society. Women were taught to stay in the house and take good care of it and await their beloved husbands and sons to return home. Even 300 years ago in Native American society women stayed home, farmed or gathered herbs, and birthed children while the men went hunting and fighting. That is the way society had been, and those are the principles that the future societies are built on. The Space Marine Chapters take all their potential recruits (save the Ultramarine, but they're a completely different story) from cultures that are always fighting and take their best young warriors. Women do not spend much time fighting in savage warfare they are generally considered "too squishy" for this to be a probability.

3) Yes, Space Marines are loaded down with ridiculous amounts of heavy armor. This is compensated for by not the abnormal strength of the Space Marines, but by the fact that the power armor they wear has cybernetic "muscles". The armor moves with the wearer instead of fighting against them (due to the black carapace) so it doesn't feel like they're wearing 200 lbs. of armor.

4) There were female Necrons. You just don't know that because their entire race was cast into the robotic skeletons to gain eternal life in service of the C'tan. No, they dont look different because they're not wearing armor. That is literally their body.

Lastly, and this is the most important thing i will say in this thread (probably), is that nowhere in the Warhammer 40,000 fluff does it say anything about WOMEN NOT BEING ABLE TO BE SPACE MARINES. Nor does it say anywhere that women can not accept the genetic implants of the Space Marines. If you make the fluff for your own army (let's say, maybe your Space Marine Chapter is from a "reverse society" where the women are the fighters and the men stay home and do the dishes or whatever. That way the women would be the potential recruits for that home world therefore your entire chapter would be made up of women), you can do whatever floats your boat with your army. Yes, you can have women Space Marines and point this out to anyone that ever tries to argue against that. Then give me their address so I can stomp their face for being retarded.

Actually, it does.

The Space Marine Gene Seed, the thing that actually mutates human candidates into marines, is only compatible with men, because that's all the emperor thought to do way back when he was creating the Primarchs, and the AdMech are a bunch of crazy cargo-cult weirdos who are all in thrall to a C'Tan anyway, and have only the barest understanding of half of their tech, and none at all of the Gene Seed bar how to apply and harvest it.

The 40k setting is a gonzo one that was created before the divide between fantasy and sci-fi had really solidified (yes, only a few decades ago many geeks didn't even draw the distinction) and many of its hang-ups come from that. Magic holds hands with (misunderstood) technology and no one blinks. It's moody sometimes to the point of overindulgence - like dark chocolate on chocolate cake and chocolate mousse - it's blackly humorous, fleshed out like no other setting there is - and god do I love it. If you don't, that's cool, but try to hate it with a bit more style and dignity than the teenage boy strawman you seem to loathe so much - and I suspect you aren't far from.
That was beautiful. Thank you.

Be sure to check out the Inquisitor rulebook, if you haven't yet.

Now exactly where does it say that the gene seed is only applicable to men? I never read anywhere that it was.

And i added in the end-all. If you make the fluff, then its real. Even if the general fluff says no Space Marine Women ever ever ever, if you can make up a good reason as to why your space marines are girls, then you win. The base fluff is the starting point to everyone, not the holy-sacred-text-to-which-everything-must-abide-by-no-matter-how-ridiculous-it-seems-to-be-in-places.

The Imperium = Catholicism(ish)

Strict rules on what women get to do, like women traditionally don't get to be priests (Inquisitors, etc) or holy fighters (Space Marines), they get to be nuns, so Sisters of Battle = Space Nuns, or something...

And stuff to do with glands and things with maleness and space marine implants and adaptations.

Not that any of this matters, it's a fictional universe, and an awesome one at that.

40k is a pathetic (by the very word) fantasy for little pre-pubescent boys (who like to attach paint on overexpensive plastic).

If you read one its rulebooks, you get the notion that the futurist movement, which idolized war, manliness and pathetic dying for blood, honour and shit did actually survive the trenches of the First World War.

The fact, that there still is melee in "modern" combat is preposterous.
Ever heard of Technology?
Ever heard of the invention of the Tool?
Technology, tools and the hand with the antagonistic thumb and fingers enable humans to surpass any animal in strength, armor, speed, lethality, etc.

Your question is a bad joke.
I mean, have a look @ Africa, where CHILDREN are soldiers... no, not fully grown humans (be it male or female), but CHILDREN!

The invention of the assault rifle has made this possible.
Whether a society, where children fight is desirable is a question that is not part of the pathic 40k world, which consists, as someone already put it entirely of "fight and death" (add: "shitloads of pathos, pathos, pathos") - and there you have your answer.

A woman in an exosuit/armor with a helmet on would look EXACTLY the same as a man. If you consider that movement is assisted by technology, there would be no differences - regarding combat capabilities - left between the 2 sexes.

But then again... there goes your little boys' fantasy, which can best be checked in American cartoons (take Batman for example and check for the picturization of the average male vs. the average female, what do you find?) and latest macho video games (Gears of War, anyone?) where males _have_ to look like 3metres tall, 2metres wide, 120% muscles and women like 40 kilos, 2 pounds of make-up plus cup-size F.

Did I already mention that the world of 40k is pathetic?
dont go flying off the rage handle buddy its a game, if you get this worked up about every game that is predominately male then your going to have a heart attack in the next few weeks. and space marines use melee weapons because they are cool, next your going to have a melt down and write 4 paragraphs about jedi all being morons because they use lightsabers.
