Also, how does she deal with people who refuse to pay? Repossession is going to be a *****.

She should be more careful where she parks her property, her careless placement of the Sun has rendered at least seven planets uninhabitable.

I wonder if I can claim the third dimension...

It appears the earth has not payed its sun tax for the last 4.6 billion years, and Angeles Duran will now take steps to cut us off from its light.

This is illegal, Article 3 and Article 25 of the Declaration of Human Rights.

Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.
(1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.
(2) Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.

So in 2012 when scientists believe there's gona be a big solar flare that will cause the magnetic fields to shift we could just blame it on this woman since its her property that caused the damage?

Sun tax, I'm suprised politicians havent started that yet. This is a great story.
They already had a tax on sunlight it was called the Penal laws. There were many more completely ludicrous ones to go with it.

Well for starter, the person above me is correct. This does violate the Declaration of Human Rights if you choose to interpret it that way.

Also, I thought of it years ago when the moron wanted to claim the moon. But at least his is technically claimable however unrealistic. He could, in theory, go there and take possession.

This woman is an idiot for two reasons.

1. Trying to charge me for something is negative option billing and it is illegal in Canada, where I live, so if she shows up I will file charges against her.

2. All the people who have skin cancer should sue her. She didn't put a warning on the label.

Well I'm just gonna go to my local courthouse and claim ownership of Space. Then everybody is gonna have to pay me Space tax, cos the Earth is in Space and everybody lives on Earth, therefore they're using Space. And all money that will go to Miss I Own The Sun And You're Gonna Pay Tax For It ***** is gonna go to me! Pay up or I'll sue your ass.

She might have registered herself as "discoverer" of the sun, but the outer space treaty, which Spain has signed to my knowledge, might put an end to those plans pretty quickly.

More specifically Art. II

Article II
Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means.

she now wants to slap a fee on everyone who uses the Sun
But wait a second, wouldn't that just be taxing literally every non-aquatic organism on planet Earth?
Yeah. Even fucking plants.

Especially plants.

Question, if she owns the sun does that means she's being held responsible for what it does? So if I get skin cancer can I sue this woman?
