I'm now going to disregard the extra ending of Dawn of the Dragon (yes, I liked it) and say Spyro died, he got crushed by the planet's core, and this thing is just some thing that congealed in a garbage disposal somewhere. I was really hoping for a remake of the first one with DoD's graphics, too, that would have been beautiful. But no, you have to go and kill my first game <_<
I think my childhood has finally died. I don't take that phrase lightly, and I've seen many things I liked when I was younger destroyed, but this has finally killed it.

I remember getting the Spyro trilogy along with the PS1 and they were awesome for me. This is just pathetic. It should have ended once the PS1 died, or at least at the most recent game.
This is almost as bad as what happened to Crash Bandicoot.

Spyro brings back memories of my childhood. It was my first console game and I loved it. The original trilogy is still amazing to play nowadays.
Unless it's an HD remake of those games, I have no interest in another Spyro game. His series died a well deserved death along with Crash Bandicoot. I don't know why different companies keep digging them up and desecrating their corpses.

...Honestly... I almost cried when I saw that. It looks like what it is... Spyro has slept in the same bed as Activision, caught a nasty VD from the promiscuous company, and his already pallid self is being eaten from within by it... *sighs*9_6 said:

A Spyro game is a jump and collect adventure: three home worlds, tons of gems, orbs to discover, speedways to conquer and eggs to rescue from those dudes that go NA NA NANA NA!!

Only people I think are going to buy this are people who have no shame in looking like nerds for a ruined franchise, or kids who havent been exposed to thier first Wii.

Sounds interesting, but I don't think Spyro is popular enough to move toys anymore.
Edit: Just saw the design. Even if it is still popular enough to move toys, it certainly won't be after this is done.

Allow me to explain, when Isomniac (Spyro) and Naughty Dog (Crash) bought themselves from Vivendi (at the time Vivendi Universal) for some reason the IRP's for Crash and Spyro were left with Vivendi, who handed them to Activision, who promtly ran them both into the ground.AlternatePFG said:
