Day late and a dollar short but as a horny teen when FFVII released.. honestly..I never had any interest in Tifa. Bewbs are meaningless if theres nothing compelling or empathetic about the character. I found aerith and yuffi far more attractive, granted yuffi is more of a kid in the game. I just mean more interesting and I was 14 att.
Tifa didn't feel like she had any character until that post anime came out with her running the orphanage.
Thinking back on it, it was honestly kinda frustrating how boring she was. *Punch punch* = character arc.

I never played Final Fantasy VII at release so my first exposure to Tifa was through the Machinabridged series Team 4 Star did as a breather from DBZA. So if you’ve seen that, imagine my shock when I found Tifa was - in personality at least - so demure she’s taking shit from utterly ungrateful dickheads in that very Japanese way. I was legitimately waiting for her to put the guy’s head through a desk.
As for this canonical bra size, which set of measurements is it using? I know that’s a dumb question at first blush but listening to my wife rant about the different measurements on bras bought locally compared to ones from overseas via Amazon, I’m thinking the size may vary from place to place.

Because I always liked Tifa as a character and shipped her with Cloud but found her enormous bust a little off-putting. I don't know if they are actually any smaller, but I like her Advent Children design better. Which is the opposite of Cloud who I think looks dumb with his fluffy hair.
Man, I can't find Tifa's pair off-putting compared to some of the more egregious examples of this I've seen in Japanese games...

... with Io being the first example of this you see in the game.

No, of course Tifa isn't even close to the limit of extremes, even staying out of H-game territory.
Afaik only the US size system uses DDD, so probably that. Also, yes, welcome to the grand universe that is bra sizes. You got the US system, the Aussie system, UK, European, Japanese, French, Italian, probably some others I'm forgetting. And then you can still have minor size variations from brand to brand. Makes bra shopping lots of fun, especially if you have a size that's in between common sizes.
It also fits her well enough because her whole thing with Cloud leaves her unsure of where she stands, but more importantly she's a terrorist somewhat against her will. She's obviously written to be this typical Japanese female character trope, but it works in favor of her character overall.
I think it looks fine here mostly. 2D drawings can make the ludicrous look far more acceptable than when you translate it to 3D. Pretty much, and that's not getting into the cost of bras in out sizes. Women's clothing is imo just nicer in general tho. Way more variety of colors, textures, fabrics, etc. I've at times bought women's hoodies because I'm really fond of wearing vivid reds and the women's section just offers more choices. Downside is no pockets tho.
