they said many times before they expect beta to last at least 5 months, expected 6 months, realistically 16 months

in all seriousness, i expect this game in calendar Q3

who knows though, they wont release it till its ready, if its not ready for another year, so be it...

I had a battle.net account long, long ago with the first Diablo game. I wonder if it still exists in the database...

Either way, good for them. Finally some results rather than just speculation. It's not something I'm used to seeing from the people at Blizzard, so it might take a while for me to adjust.

I really want to play this, but I am worried that because I haven't played the original Starcraft II, I don't have much experience with online RTSs in general and because this game is highly competitive I will get flattened.

I signed up a few months ago. Pretty excited, but seeing as this'll probably end up being multiplayer only, unless a few of my friends get it also I'll probably get raped. I don't possess the ability to type 700 times per second and have 17 different eyeballs, as you appear to need to survive in the original.
