Actually I would say most user are not, especially the management, since those have the power to fire or make your job hell over their own selfish hardware and software need, while not giving you budget to get thing working correctly, so you end up doing patchwork to get their thing working, instead of a well integrated solution if they had been consulting the IT department. Good thing IT infrastructure are getting better at handling bring your own hardware, so that kind of case get less troublesome has time go.
