Oh you mean the whole government with a ministry of women specifically to focus on women / women's issues being found to be caught up in a sex trafficking and prostitution scandal??

https://x.com/kenshirotism/status/1753459751554339140?s=20

So yeh I'd say pretty toxic feminism right there to be selling women into basically prostitution.

But hey considering Megalia (the dominant Feminist group as such on South Korea) have been accused of attacking people merely based on their gender and were happy to use a spycam to get nudes and then share round the nudes of male celebs then protested when one of their members got arrested for it

Yeh basically South Korea feminism is like supporting the Scum Manifesto.
Does that have literally anything at all whatsoever to do with the examples I provided? Or do you seriously believe that the woman in your screenshot got up during a meeting and said "I think we should feministly sex traffic girls"?

This shit's why I have you on ignore. Good lord, it was a joke during the ongoing beauty standards discussion about the time gamers got mad their gotcha game had a female summer variant be a wetsuit instead of a bikini. It was funny

I really like the look of Stellar Blade (I mean, it's literally just a combination of Nier Automata and Bayonetta, 2 games I really enjoy), but all of the weebs salivating over it because "sexy digital lady makes my dick hard" just really makes me want this game to actually turn out really mediocre, like a shinier Onechanbara.

  1. Don't worry about the fuckers and pay them no mind. They'll always do that. Enjoy the game on its own merits.
  2. Oneechanbara has not been bad/below mediocre since Bikini Samurai Squad and that one PSP game no one remembers. Bikini Zombie Slayers is decent, but the combat has been getting better since Z: Kagura. At it's peak with Z2: Chaos, and Origin, while not as good as Z2's, still has great combat and a universal parry system.

So I was in trepidation at first but seeing the newer trailers has definitely solidified my excitement for this game. Apparently they plan on having a ton of costumes for free too. They emphasized you can find it ingame and that it's not dlc in an interview.

Initially I wasn't sure how the gameplay would hold up but it actually looks to be going for a mix between a dmc and a more slow paced game with focus on dodging...so maybe something like Dragon's Dogma would be a good example. Lots of combos and freedom but also high difficulty and reactive defensive gameplay combined with the combos.

Also the music is amazing. Makes sense since they got the studio that did nier's music working on this, but still, it's just always so beautiful or epic or badass.

edit:

This trainwreck of a thread was so busy debating about feminists and plastic surgery that it doesn't even have the 9 minute gameplay footage that came out a while back lmao, here you go:

Other than first clip of the boss, none of the other footage is new. It's a compilation footage disguised as new. The firs trailer that shows up after the boss fight is one of the old trailers that still used the Project Eve title before the name change. Many YouTube uploaders do this either for click bait and cheap ways to increase view count.

Yeah the first part is the gameplay stuff I was mentioning, we can see the dodge system and the parry system doing something to power up her sword, where the more you dodge it turns redder. It's definitely a lot more intentional than dmc and bayonetta where you just combo em for days, even bosses. That's why it reminded me more of dragon's dogma.

Depends on the game. Bayonetta is very intentional with its dodges. Hence the slow-mo in Witch Time (the purple liquidy effect). Even with bat within it's noticeable. Devil May Cry, it varies, but there are small hotels that you know when your Royal guard gauge is full, or if you did a perfect block and perfect release. In DmC (2013) when pulling off a perfect dodge with demon evade, time slows down similar to Bayonetta, except you don't attack during slow mo. After completing a perfect dodge, you get a damage buff, and Donte gets a red aura around his arms. Also, and that specific title, the higher your rank, the faster Donte gets. The game doesn't tell you this though. Plus, the "reboot" and 5 make it clear when you do are perfect parry with a sword/melee attack. A brief slow down (DMC 5 only), and a loud and flashing clang.

Yes, yes it does.

You specifically mentioned

"is it really radical feminist activism to be against non-consensual voyeur porn"

my response basically "turns out radical feminist activists support voyer porn, as long as it's a hot Kpop idol man who ends up as the victim and they get to be the ones sharing the pictures "

Also as past numerous years have shown some people seem to think societal ills that harm women are caused by sexy women in video games somehow.

I never said she got up during a meeting and said that. For all I know, and all I'm guessing you know the person in my screenshot never even fucking worked at the studio or on the game, or do I need to bring up the EA developer who never was?

This shit's why I have you on ignore.
Because you'd rather remain ignore-ant of some things?

Yet I remember some people getting pissy Lara Croft's wetsuit didn't cover enough

Kind of wish her hair didn't clip into her so much and I feel the weapon slashes could use some more impact in that first boss clip, but overall I like what I see. Should be fun

Yeah the impact was pretty weak, but that was still work in progress so I can see em upping it up a bit, it was using old UI too.

Don’t like it, don’t buy it I guess *shrugs*
As always, the creators can make whatever game or character design they want. It's partially why I've taken an interest myself. That said, people have the right to not play the game or ignore it, but at the same time they shouldn't attack people for enjoying a game or the characters. What works for one game doesn't work for another, and vice versa. I like plenty of games with fabulous or over the top looking characters, at the same time, I don't need every single video game character to look like an impossible or near impossible supermodel. It's called balance. Besides, I am a guy that plays whatever interests me. I stopped giving a crap of what "other people think" a long time ago by my late teens. Not that I cared too much to begin with.

Yeah I'm not going to believe the people who made Nikke are trying to move the needle in gaming. Oh they might be moving the needle, for more cloned Korean MMO/gacha nonsense.

When the main character wears a vacuum-sealed 0.01mm thick bodysuit with 0 elastic force, she might as well be naked at that point. I don't know how many E3/State-of-Play trailers have naked women, but when 90% of your trailer is of a character who's naked but not naked, you're poking a hornet's nest. You'd have to be extremely ballsy or extremely ignorant to think you should market your serious sci-fi action game like it were Nikke.
