For whatever reason, in games I become an organization freak. Everything must be NEAT UNND TIDY!
Yeah, same here. I probably spend more hours organizing my inventory than doing anything else.

The only compulsion I have ever had in a game is with the GTA series. No matter what, my total amount of cash simply MUST end in either a 0 or a 5 (e.g. 100 or 105). If it doesn't, then I do whatever I can to make it happen (kill people, missions etc).

I MUST always find a way to use my patented "Raptor Strike" where I leap down on a enemy from above and OHKO him. I will jump all the way across any free roaming sections, and if I can dash, will spam the dash until I reach the objective, even if the door is right in front of me. I always reload after firing, even if I only had to fire one shot. I also refuse to use magic with mages in any game unless they have a refilling mana bar, even to the point of forcing my mages to use a knife to kill enemies. Conserving Magic for the boss fight is always the thought, but it becomes that way with health items as well. More than once, I've cleared a dungeon with almost no health, because I didn't want to use my Health Packs. In RPGs, I'll use the characters I like, even if other characters are more suited for the level. And if the game has a Hadouken in it, I will spam it without even realizing I'm doing it.

-Raptor, out.

I have a bad habit of instanly reloading whenever I kill someone in MW2. Even if someone is shooting me from the front, my finger just automatically jumps to the R button.
I'm a compulsive reloader, as well. I'm so bad about it that I can't use an LMG in any of the Call of Duty games because I'll go through maybe a dozen or so rounds and find myself reloading the 100-200 round magazine >_<

And don't get me started on those games that give you (logically) a reserve of magazines rather than a stockpile of loose bullets.
If you press the "Switch Weapon" button, it will cancel the reload animation, so if you press it twice, it will go back to your main weapon quickly (It won't be reloaded, but you won't have to sit through the animation and possibly get killed unnecessarily). I am a compulsive reloader too, so that is my strategy when using LMGs.

'Hmm, lets see what's behind that door, but I only have one lockpick'
Oh good thing I can quicksave!

/me (Quick Saves, then opens door, decides whether it's worth it or not, then quick loads if it isn't)

Seriously I REALLY NEED to get out of this habit, it ruins the fun outta games.

In Assassin's Creed I would always take a detour to kill any archer I saw. The rooftops are mine! MINE!
It got so bad I crossed half a city to stab one of the pesky critters while the alarms were going off and the entire garrison was out looking for me.
I did the same thing only in ACII I always threw the body off the roof to scare the shit out of the people on the street.

I feel like this is turning into a support group for compulsive reloaders, and I'm ok with that. I thought I was all alone out there. Every time I happen to kill somebody with the very last bullet in my clip it just serves to reinforce the habit.
Oh man, is there anything worse than watching somebody play who doesn't share your compulsion? "hey, you might wanna' throw a new clip in before you turn the corner...just sayin'." "Yo, grab a fresh clip." "why don't you go in there with a full--..... you know what, I'm going to go get a sandwich"
Aghhhh its torture.

25 rounds:
"Mind tapping X there, bro?"
"Nah, I'm good."
"Alright."

17 rounds:
"Getting a bit dry there."
"I'm fine, you reload too much."

04 rounds:
"Reload."
"I will in a bit." *walks through door and is murdered.* "Well that sucked."
"YEA! Well, maybe it wouldn't have if you would've just RELOADED THE ******** ****** ******* MAGAZINE FOR A ******* CHANGE!"

Reload addiction. At most (often fatally inconvenient) times in games I'll reload compulsively. Also, during these reloads, I tend to pull the right trigger for reasons I cannot explain. The latter is particularly annoying with games that have interruptable reloading, such as Saint's Row 2 and CoD (shotguns).

In MMO's if my damage is slightly lower than usual, I feel like I can't use that character anymore, and need to make a new, stronger one.. I try to respec the first character, but it just does not feel right anymore, no matter what gear I have for it, how much time spent on it etc.. I just can't use it

The Commissar's execution command in Dawn of War, I can't stop using it.
Yelling out realistic war commands while playing Dawn of War.
Giving my units in Dawn of War official battalion and squad names.
Zooming in and watching every single sync kill I see in Dawn of War.

I cannot, I CANNOT do missions out of order. I am very much OCD about that particular thing, I try to treat MMORPG quests as a single-player storyline until it reaches the point I'm forced to group up due to difficulty for any single class to handle it.

..Yeah.

Edit: Oh, and yes. Aesthetics over stats. If the armor looks ugly physically, no matter how fucking uber it is, I will not even touch it. My philosophy with this: If I can't appreciate my character running about in some armor that fits well with her/his hair color, body structure, etc.. I'll fucking go naked if I have to until I find that right armor.

DDO still pisses me off on that aspect, as they still (to my knowledge) haven't put a dressing room into the auction house yet for armor displays. Wasted sooooo much gold on that place just find something that didn't look like a cow shit it out..

mine will be well, if an object is destroyable, I destroy. if its dismemberable (is that a word) I dismember. In minecraft, I dig holes that are 3x3 in size. And I love hitting animals

A tie between breaking every window I can find and saving over and over again. I always save because I have a fear that I forgot to save somewhere and I have a need to break big, clear, objects. And what better than a good window just sitting there... not doing anything!

Dude no way, the same thing is developing within me, I frieking HATE gravel and dirt, i have no idea why but everytime I see it I get pissed off I practically yell at it "WHY THE HELL DO YOU EXIST", but that isn't enough, I can't stand it even existing in my storage chest so I used a bucket to create a lake of lava that I throw dirt and gravel into, stupid compounds are ruining my tidy sandstone house!!

Oh, forgot! In most RPGs, I have a habit of collecting all the loot in a dungeon to sell it. Even if I have to make 40 trips to collect it all because it makes me overweight (I'm looking at you Oblivion!) and I don't even need the gold. I must do it. It drives me nuts when I watch my roommate play Oblivion and he leaves weapons in the dungeons.

"I don't need those. They suck and aren't worth selling back."
"But it's gold. Gold! Get them! Ahhhh! D;

i must collect everything from evrywhere, and loot every enemy corpse.
this is annoying in games like Fallout where the weight adds up and slows you down.

In Dead SPace 2 I must stomp on everything. Even if its already been shot to burger meat, it needs a stomping.
Special ammo must be saved. If an enemy can be killed by the weaker gun, you use the weaker gun.
Again, by the end of the game I am loaded with junk and overpowered ammunition.

Collecting every weapon and usable item from fallen enemies even if I'm not gonna use them and then storing them in a footlocker somewhere. You never know when you're gonna need them (never). Also compulsive reloading and getting achievements/easter eggs in some games.
