That pisses me off in Metal Gear Solid 3. I've got a copy of the game without the manual, still not sure if the reason grabs aren't working is because I'm pressing the wrong button or because my timing is off.Sebenko said:All those game that inform you to "Press [relevant button] to [relevant action]". Most often being "Press the FIRE button to fire".
Hehe, salty nuts. I was about to mention something saying "May contain nuts".Serving UpSmiles said:I think an obvious one is "KP BRAND PEANUTS" on the back label it says "Warning may contain nuts".

That still doesn't make them less funny, thoughRattler5150 said:most of these warnings have nothing to do with stupidity, it has to do with litigation and legal action. I remember seeing a Halloween costume that says "Warning: Suit does not enable wearer to fly"
Its all about lawsuits, some dummy puts a cup full of hot coffee in their lap to put sugar in it, spills it, sues, wins a million dollars. so these warnings are here to prevent stupid people from suing to reward there own stupidity
I'm pretty sure he sued. What a solid case he has too. "You didn't tell me not to do it!"THEAFRONINJA said:Yeah, I heard about that. Didn't he sue the company? Or is that just myth?Palademon said:Hehe, salty nuts. But instead I'll llak about that guy who microwaved his poodle because he couldn't find instructions NOT to.
OT: I know that there's something, it's in the back of my mind, so I'll come back and post it once I remember it.

Which makes perfect sense, seeing as peanuts are peas, not nuts. There might be traces of nuts in there too, which could fuck with people's allergies.Serving UpSmiles said:I think an obvious one is "KP BRAND PEANUTS" on the back label it says "Warning may contain nuts".

I always thought of them being called that because they are shaped like pea's, here's a picture to see what i'm talking about.

Nope, it's the other way around. They're peas that look like nuts. I could throw a lot of technobabble (but real) at you, but the easiest way to convice oneself is to look at how they grow (at least if you're familiar with how peas and beans grow in contrast to how nuts grow). Try googling it.Serving UpSmiles said:I always thought of them being called that because they are shaped like pea's, here's a picture to see what i'm talking about.Silver said:Which makes perfect sense, seeing as peanuts are peas, not nuts. The only fake thing here is the blanked out bottom part. It should say "Also, bridge out ahead".Savagezion said:LMAO. That is probably the most epic fail ever. It must be fake.Contun said:At least they warned you beforehand.
