I had some absolute moron last night on MW2 saying to me "hey Daedalus, "hey, hey daedalus" like 50 times. Then I told him to shut up.
From then on, he kept making assumptions like "you sound like a downright ****** dude" and kept trying to undermine my confidence by calling me a fat loser (i weighh about 72 kgs).
I merely responded with "people like you are the reason this world has so many problems"

It was hilarious, he kept trying to call me a fat loser, even though he's never met me.
He switched teams and then started trying to kill me, which was funny. I headshotted him a few times and got 300 exp points for it, and then after the match I laughed at him.

My score was pretty piss-poor and his level was like 44, so talk about the pot calling the kettle black? I'm only level eight. Anyway he made a big deal out of this saying I was shit, and then it occurred to me... at what point does an individual like that stop having fun when playing games? Where it gets to the point that it consumes his life and he has to be better than everyone else? Truly a pathetic shell of a human being in my books.

I am guilty of this. and this sin is ragequiting because of "haxorz" or "pros" playing in a regular server. It is especially in COD MW2 on week days when all the good people are playing so I get nuked at least once a week. DAMN APACHES!!!

I've done it coutless times
Just the other day I got bored so I powered on the 360, and decided to play some Ground War I got killed by the same camper three times and immediatly quit after playing about 3 seconds.
Fucking Campers the game used to be fun, than everybody except for me suddenly got way too good.

Whats really funny is listening to what hackers/glitchers say when you kill them. My brother plays WolfTeam, in which the biggest hack/glitch is either shooting from inside of walls or below the ground. One thing people don't realize is the bullets do penetrate scenery a good bit, so with some educated guessing scenarios like this happen with my brother.

I don't have anything to contribute to the topic, but has online gaming (and specifically MW2 I notice) gotten really THAT bad? I've heard it all before, but I got a concentrated dose in this thread it just seems that, from what you're saying, there isn't a single online match that is clear of foul-mouthed children. Mind you, I don't own an XBOX and never played on XBL. I did get the impression, long ago, that this situation is much worse on the XBOX rather than on the PC (where voice chat is rarely used in pubs anyway - or if it is used these days, I haven't played a game online in ages) but the amount of references to that behaviour I saw in this thread is scary. So is it really that bad?

Yes, Yes it has. That is why I refuse to play any online game now, besides L4D with my friends.

HOWEVER!!!!!!!! for a first time shot at rst and rpg, it is very goood, and as for the soundtrack, it pushes the title from "slightly corny" to "acceptable", and i would quite happily play it on the hard setting after a few other games.
